Are You Selling A Dream Or The Solutions To Real Problems?
I was browsing the internet last night because I am creating an info product for the New Year. I came across information I had not seen in years and it brought back a lot of memories from when I was a teenager.
I would get money making offers in the mail promising me big bucks. I would send off my last money for some program and wait with excitement until the package would arrive in that big yellow envelope.
When I got it I was always disappointed, because the offer was only telling me to offer the same opportunity to others. It was like "here is how I made 50.000$ by telling other people how to make 50.000$.
I would be emotionally deflated and then I would wait for the next offer to come along. The only true satisfaction I had was the days I would anticipate the offer coming in the mailbox, it got so bad I would get it and not even open it.
I came to the conclusion that most of the money making offers I would get all had one thing in common. None of these offers did anything for me but tell me to sell the same dream to other people.
Essentially they all said make up a story of how you made 1000.00$ a day and then sell the secret. Everyone who bought would get told the same thing and on and on. None of these programs ever did the following which is why none of them lasted long term.

Offer a valuable service
Make someone's life easier
If the offer did one of these three things then it was worth buying, but I never recall them doing so. I write this because I see a lot of WSOs that are doing the same things these days. Some offer solutions to problems and some make peoples lives easier. Others just promise dreams by throwing huge dollar figures in your face.
My question to you guys for the New Year is are you selling real solutions and the answers they need to make their life easier or are you selling them a dream?
I may not be a copy writer, but I remember the thinking of most when they would see those big income claims, "WOW 1000.00$ A DAY, If I COULD JUST MAKE HALF THAT I'm SET. It is very powerful and it has a very strong effect on people.
How many people who visit the WSO board do you think have the same though when they see those wild income claims thrown around?
