  • Why not to make an on-demand presentation from the recorded webinar instead?

  • Hi Mark,

I know of someone who is finishing up a webinar replay script - Troy Gardner - you can reach him to get on his update list at troy (at) troynotes dot com. I tweeted you about this yesterday as well.

    • Hey Mark,

I'm the guy Deb recommended (thanks Deb)

I and my team have been working hard on a webinar replay script/service that's opening up again for beta testing in January 2010. We are oh so close.

It will have a low cost version (price as yet to be determined), but free for beta testers initially until things are proven out, send me an email at troy at troynotes dot com and I'll add you to the invite only list and so you can see it and the scheduler in action.

The Intellinar service will come in 2 flavors, a entry level self-hosted script that will work for many people with modest needs. In our tests it can support about 20-30 people reliably because we go full out in making the webinar as real as possible.

      They have in common is:
      • that there is a countdown before it starts,
      • like a real webinar, if they arrive late they miss that part of the call...it' feels real.
      • it's sqeaky clean and official looking, modeled after all the major players
      • it's got a highly tested UBB button integrated into the event, synchronized when you want to present the offer
      • that can be a time limited offer as the button can disappear
      • the system redirects to the sales page url at the end.
      • you can schedule it from any timezone to any other time zone worldwide -with multiple daylight savings going on this is actually pretty tricky
      • you can setup sophisticated replay schedules from 2 times a day, to 3 days at specific times a week, or on-demand versions from certain time-ranges
      • we have a one time purchase to get started, or a massively scaleable version so that 10,000 can be on a call.
We've been developing it for months trying to balance being powerful and "drool proof" easy to use. If you join the beta users you'll hopefully see, I'm not on the warrior forum regularly so I haven't earned rights to post links yet.

What's funny is 6 months ago I had no idea I was going to be building this system. Back in hot August, still new to IM and trying to recover from complete burnout and a huge amount of debt from a startup with anassh*le boss that ate up 2 years of my live and savings.

Anyway I was looking to find more control, and started developing some digital products and dabbling with affiliate. I made it to a rather amazing event hosted in August (102degrees!) hosted by internet moguls Ryan Diess and Perry Belcher. It was a 3 day event, where every day they pulled back the covers on their multimillion dollar operation only run by a handful of people. It covered so much great information, i

On day 2 they went into how they use webinar replays to compete in ultra competitive niches like the Forex with insane $7PPC costs. I realized that since I was just starting out and getting hammered in clickbank affiliates, I needed all the help I could get, but I couldn't afford the manual replay solutions they used (e.g. paying a person $90/hr to replay on gotomeeting),. Thankfully my day job is running a award winning web development agency, and I'm pretty good with video and rich media, so I was able to create a working version of the essence of a webinar with scheduling in actually a few hours at the event, which I shared with the group and ended up meeting people like Deb, about 20 people asked for it and trying to help them out, I realized that what I was doing wasn't good enough and even major providers like gotomeeting aren't really what we marketers need.

I realized that 'on-demand' videos are okay, but really that makes it easy for people to not pay attention to what's being said or take advantage of that scarcity of a time limited offer.

It's taken us all this time since to get it to the point that it can work for the unique needs of a marketers.

      It's very simple to use,
      1) You give us an FLV,
      2) setup a schedule
      3) optionally setup the affilate/ sales url,
      4) you get back a zip for you own server, or a youtube style copy and embed code where we take care of all the dirty work.
      5) setup your landing pages and autoresponders to promote the event.
      6) sit back and let it do the selling for you.

So if this suits you email me at troy at troynotes dot com with the subject intellinar and I'll add you to the list. I can't promise that this will be open to everybody as I already have about 24 people signed up and I work with each one to make sure they are setup and working.

      Troy.

  • Hmmm. I wonder if my Tweet went somewhere into the ethers! Oh well, you got the info anyway.

    Happy New Year!

  • Mark,

I see now what you mean. I was not looking at it from that perspective.

    Happy new year,

  • I have been on the net 20 years but new to the forum. I was looking for a webinar replay system and in reviewing, I notice a few that actually look the same and/or have the same functions. Is there a private label one out there or one that I can go to host my own service for resale?
