Backlinks/Pingbacks on my blog

I have a newb question. I received an email about a 'Pingback' on my blog. I had no idea what that meant but after reading a bit, I see that its simply when someone adds a backlink to their blog/site , in the comments section on MY blog.

Should I delete these, or leave them there and go add a backlink on their site on the URL that they left?

    Hi Michael,

The answer is YES and No.

YES - delete those spam pingback, basically they use syndicate your contents and create a pingback to your site, aim to steal your traiffc

NO - keep those genuine pingback as they mention good or discuss about your blog contents.

Hope this simple answers can help you.
