I agree. They should just make it so that the article stays live until the changes are submitted. It can't be that hard to program, can it?

Well, I was going to reply, but I see that Allen Graves already offered a pretty dang good solution in the blog comments.

When you have enough articles out there it usually does not make a big difference. Just roll with it I guess.

While I am a perfectionist at heart - I try to live by this statement

      Done Is Better Than Perfect

It's not always possible - but I'm much better at getting things out the door now. Instead of waiting 2 months to get my web copy perfect, I write it and put it up. It easy to make modifications once something is out the door. With articles, I just leave them be if they have errors in them. I get WAY more done in my life now. Good info in the post!

        That´s a good one
I agree, let the articles be. If one has a bad itch to correct something just write another one and put it up.

I am a perfectionist when it comes to writing my articles. I would be so aggravated to see my article live with errors in it. I think that it lessens your professional image.

It makes sense re approving articles takes man hours that they may not want to use up, they are after all still a business trying to make money.

I did this only one time and will never do it again as I messed up my rankings. I was on the front page getting traffic when I made a small change to see if I could increase my CTR. My article was gone and it has been buried ever since. I learned my lesson and will leave the articles alone once they go live.

Editing articles once they are live is a bad idea, I've learned from experience. I too had an article that was getting a large numbers of views, then decided to edit it, and the article never took off again. Another time I edited an article making just a minor change in the resource box and was then told the article wasn't acceptable. Evidently the rules had changed since it was originally accepted. Now once an article has been accepted, I just leave it alone.

I did the same thing and will never do it again.

It killed my views and results.
