Hi Guys, Im totally new to this forum and IM. I am in a situation where I have no choice but to work from home. IM has been of great interest and Warrior forum makes great reading. Can someone out there guide me as to what to avoid and what to market. I have toyed with the idea of ordering courses from Andrew Reynolds, Cher Pearce, Richard Williams and Damian Benko and his Turn Key organisation. Have any of you any experience or advice please. As you can emagine funds are a bit low at the moment and most of these guys want upwards of £2500. Any help would be greatly appreciated and received.

I wouldn't jump into buying anything. There is plenty of information out there for free IF you know what you want to do.

First, you need to figure out what it is that you really want to do. What do you think you would like doing, and what are your talents?

There are many ways to make money online:

    Freelancing (writing, design, programming, etc.)
    Article Marketing
    Affiliate Marketing
    Blogging
    Product Creation

The list goes on and on. Before you do ANYTHING or buy ANYTHING, figure out exactly what you think you want to do, and then buy ONE good product on that particular topic. Don't buy anything else! Stick to that ONE thing and you will start to make money.

Whatever you do, don't go buying every "big new thing" product you can get your hands on. You'll end up with information overload and you won't know where to start. That kept me down for a LONG time.

Pick a topic, buy ONE product, stick with it.

    Good luck.

I agree that the first step is to figure out what "niche" of internet marketing do you want to paritcipate in.

Next, go read all the threads pertaining to that niche.

Finally, if you don't have any money at all, find someone from all the threads that you have read in the WF that you like and offer to do free things to help make them money in exchange for learning the business from them. (What type of free things...keyword research...writing of articles etc.

    I hope that helps.

If you can afford it, join the War Room. That is a better education than most products will offer. Go right to Allen Says posts and read them all. If you can't afford it, there's a thread where people are offering to sponsor newbies by paying their way in, you only have to say why you think it should be you.

I've been doing internet marketing for awhile now and the most valuable lessons I learned on the subject I didn't directly pay for. It was from reading forums like this, using research tools, and thinking about how things fit together. Then going out and making some money.

I'd recommend you spend the loot to get into the private forums here. then find one topic and nail it that you like. Link building, social bookmarking, keyword research, eating cheetos and sending out cheetos spam!. Master that topic and then go sell that service like a rock star...

I am fairly new to IM myself only being involved for about a month now, and i must say that when i joined i was more lost than i had ever been before. IM is something that takes a lot of time and hard work to understand at the beginning, and fortunately there are many resources out there to help. The forum is a great place to seek information and get several great examples and answers, but if you are looking to get more familiar with the basics of IM and have a strong starting point, here are some great websites i suggest that i continue to still use today, as I myself am still very new to IM.

affilorama.com (free sign up and several helpful step-by-step videos)
sixdayweekend.com (pretty much same setup as affilorama, free sign up and great step-by-step videos)
nmnv.com (this is a great resource hub for IM and is a great starting point for anyone new to IM)

I hope some of these resources will help you as they helped me a tremendous amount only about a month ago. IM can be very overwhelming at first with all the information you are trying to understand. These websites will give you a foundation and provide you with a great starting point into the world of IM, all for free. Hope this helps!

        Thanks,
        Brent

  • definitely find a certain niche, research who you're buying of then learn everything related to 1 method, only branch out when you have a method mastered.

I made the bad choice of trying to do everything and learn it all, I barely got anything done as I was trying to learn everything. I took too much in and it took me months upon months to digest and understand it all to a point where it all made sense and I could make a plan of it.

Choose a niche, MLM, affiliate marketing, CPA Marketing, SEO services, article, freelancing, Mentor of Marketing (You really have to be in know about most methods to make the most of this but it does well when you have it running)

Once you know what form of home business you'll be doing, choose your most appropriate method and perfect it. It's better to be an expert at one thing than a jack of all trades (means you can do most of it but only at an acceptable level)

Hope this clears it up for you.

    Jason.
