IM Business New Years Resolutions

With the start of 2010, we all hear everyone make their New Years Resolutions.

To lose weight...
To stop smoking...
To get into shape and work out...
To spend more time with family and friends...

The list goes on and on.

These are all positive Resolutions (if carried out), but none of our NYR's ever seem to deal with our business.

So I thought it might be fun (as well as helpful and motivating) for us to all post our New Years Resolutions for our Internet Marketing business efforts.

Then, next year around this time, I will go back and bump this thread so everyone can check in with their goals and see how we stacked up!

(One last thing before we start... Do not be afraid to set your goals HIGH! Having seemingly "unreachable" goals are great for getting the best out of yourself!)

So I will be the first to go:

My Internet Marketing New Years Resolution's for 2010 are:

- Grow my email list to 2,000+ subscribers

- Launch 4 (one per quarter) "large-scale" IM products (Training courses, Software items, etc)

- Launch 10 "small-scale" IM products (PLR packs, small reports, etc)

- Raise my monthly IM income to $2,000 per month or more by years end

- Have at least one month during 2010 of $5,000 or more

***And to finish it off, a couple "business" resolutions with a personal touch***

- Make a name for myself in the Warrior Forum and IM community as a whole, becoming a respected contributor and mentor

- Make enough income from IM to support myself and my beautiful new wife while we finish school and start our family.

I can't wait to hear all of your Resolutions!

Happy New Year everyone!

    I'm with ya, buddy.

    Here's mine:

    • lose the "IM-weight" I gained (only like 10 pounds tho, nothing major)
    • grow email list to 10k+ by year's end
    • Grow monthly income to 10k+ ($1/month/subscriber) by year's end
    • take on a minimum of 5 offline clients/month for IM consulting (so total of 70 this year... I kick things off this month!)
    • do a minimum of 5 toll-gate joint ventures per month, starting Jan (now)

Those sound really good Tom! Good job at setting high goals!

For me, I've been doing small eBay affiliate sites and the like for the last year. But now that eBay has totally turned off their own customers and affiliates, it's time for me to re-align my business model.

So for me, getting my list started and launching the initial few products is my big goal. Looks like you are a bit ahead of that, so congrats at taking the next step!

Don't make resolutions. Nobody ever wins with resolutions. But my GOALS are to be more consistant, and cut out the procrastinations that have slowed my processes.

HELP NEEDED! My Mother And Her Brother have been taking care of the mother with the help of Hospice. He just had a Massive Heart Attack while taking a short vacation. My mother had to go to Florida from Indiana to be with her brother and is not financially stable from being off work to be with grandma. Any Help Would Be Appreciated. http://www.gofundme.com/vg5kt4c

Two words, same meaning as far as I am concerned.

        Or yet, even better...

If you RESOLVE to meet your GOALS, then you are well on your way to success

Yea, I actually was pretty happy with myself on that one

In all seriousness though you bring up a good point.

Resolutions, goals, it's all the same thing.

It should not take a "New Year" to get you motivated to do the work you know you need to do.

We should be able to muster that "resolve" any time we want to.

But hey, January 1st is as good a day as any to start doing so!

That bring a good thought to my head. Instead of having new years resolutions, it would be more benificial if more people had new day resolutions. Let go of all the garbage that held them back yesterday and plow forward to tomorrow.

I agree with Jeff. New Years resolutions suck. A year is WAY too long. A good New Years goal would be to set specific daily goals like Jeff said, or monthly goals where you are not losing interest after a couple of weeks.

In goal setting, the first couple of weeks are critical, so why not even have a 2 week goal?

My Goal for 2010 is to make money every month. Might not seem that big but last year my IM income was very inconsistent.

    Good one Tommo2007.

I am in the same boat. Some months things seem to click, others things stagnate.

It's all a matter of building a income producing BUSINESS, instead of just tinkering with the newest "method" and hoping things stick.
