Need E-Bay affiliate help please

First off I want to say I am somewhat of a noob when it comes to the "behind the scenes of a website"

I just started a blog and wanted to add it to my e-bay affiliate account. When I went to confirm my site it is asking me to save the activation code in a text editor and then upload the file to the base directory of each of my domains.

Even though it says it's easy I don't know how to do it.

Is there anyone willing to help me out?

    Do you have a wordpress blog or one on blogger? And if it's a wordpress blog is it self-hosted?

    I dont need to do this couple years ago.

    They want you to upload some .html files rite? Just use some ftp programs and upload them on your root directory. You will only be able to do this if your blog is self hosted and not attached to wordpress.com or blogger.com

    You always able to get some free hosting and free domain name for verification purposes only. But I do heard they keep raising the bar nowadays. Goodluck.

    That means that it's a selfhosted blog. Just open a texteditor and paste the code they gave you in it. After you have created that file use your ftp-program and go to the rootfolder of your blog. Upload the textfile to your site and let ebay know it's there.
