Hey Warriors,

Let's discuss on what was the best social network which brings more traffic to your site in 2009? Is it Twitter or Facebook or others?

I have used twitter to get more traffic rather than facebook. So, for me Twitter is the "KING" traffic generator to my site. What about you guys?

I've been concentrating my efforts on Twitter. Since tweets can be automatically sent to Facebook it's like killing two birds with one stone.

I agree with you that twitter is a great source for the traffic and it was the best social network site for me in the 2009.

Twitter seems to be the hottest social networking site with several services allowing you to automatically send a post to different social site with just a click of a button, make socializing fun and easy. But for me, i will give Onlywire the kudus. It's still a social networking site.

delve is right with the point. Some people will vote for delicious and digg. While some marketers will go with twitter or facebook. I have found orkut more successful in asia.

  • As social networks go, Facebook is far better than Twitter.

Twitter is a niche social network. Pretty much all you can do with it is read and post Tweets.

Facebook is a whole user environment, with apps, friends, forums and everything you need to build a real community.

That said, Twitter is more likely to be searchable and so may be better from a traffic perspective, but a fully built up Facebook profile may be far more valuable in the long rn (and think of the secondary income possibilities, for instance through apps).
