Which Niche Is The Best?

Hello Warriors,

I want some great ideals from you all, to enable me be on the right track.

I am wondering which niche would be profitable to promote a product on as an affiliate. I don't want to promote any product on the "make money and weight lost" niche. I want Ideal on any other niche that is unique. A niche you would promote a product on!

I would be happy to get all you opinions on this.

Thanks Alot.

Ok, so you are asking for unique niches on a forum full of internet marketers? Hmmm...

Why would anyone give away a unique niche, especially if it is a profitable one.

The only niches which people will probably say are.

      hobbies and crafts
      weight loss
      make money
      self defense
      self empowerment
      environment
      loans

The best niche, is undoubtedly, and don't tell anyone I said this, but it is:

    The niche you know.

So, go out there, and enter that niche!!

Out of the three hottest niche, you've already mentioned 2

So I would recommend getting on the third. The dating/relationship
    niche..

By the way, the secret to finding hot niches is to look for profitable
keywords and not based on people's advice. Though you should listen
to people, you should also verify the information.

To check the hot niches, here's what you can do..

Check out Amazon's top selling products and see the hottest niche there
next thing to do is to fire-up Google's keyword tool and search for keyword
ideas related to the best selling products you got from amazon. Now look
for keywords with decent amount of hits or monthly search and then
check out the competition for each of those keywords. The least amount
of competing sites for a keyword, the better.

You can also go into the desperate markets. Acne is an example, arthritis another
one. To find desperate markets, Google "remedy" or "pain" or "disease".
Then look for clickbank products that tackles the same topic..

I think the question should be what niche are you good at? Many people fail simply bcs they do not take the time to find out what they have passion (talent) for.

Let it begin with what you love.

If you are good at writing, you can write articles for companies and individuals.

Like marketing, perhaps online affiliate marketing might be ok.

Top marketers won't reveal their niches.

    Why?

If they do, they have to share a piece of the pie with you...which means less money for them.

I remembered sharing just one niche to a hundred of my private elite coaching students -- and within just 2 months, I saw my sites in that niche had their revenues dropped from $2k per month to $800 per month.

That's $1.2k lost for opening my big mouth.

I would take all the popular niches- make money, health and fitness, relationships and hunt for solid sub-niches. For example if I'm after the dating niche I might pick a product on killer pick up lines or if I'm looking at the wedding niche something like wedding speeches or health niche something like anxiety..basically you can still go after the most popular niches just dig in deep and find a sub niche with some good long tailed keywords that get good traffic but not to the point where it is saturated.

When marketers do the keyword and niche research necessary to find a great niche, they normally do not share that intelligence with anyone.

What you need to do is learn to find profitable niches and do keyword research yourself to find profitable niches.

I did some research using Market Samurai and I constantly find
      the following problem:

Even for the niches that are said to be 'relatively easy' niches,
and even for the keywords with less than 50000 competing pages
and 1000-2000 searches per month, the competition on the 1st page
in google is very strong. They have usually page rank 4 or higher,
tons of backlinks, many of them are dmoz listed, yahoo listed, etc.,
which means that it would be very hard to rank on the first page.

Obviously one has to go for keywords with very little traffic in order
to rank on the 1st page, but how profitable is it then?

If there are still some golden niches with golden keywords, they are
certainly not counted in any ebook, I read many of them I know
all the standard 'recommended niches'. They are not easy at all.
One has to discover a completely new niches that are not mentioned
anywhere, just as Columbus discovered America.

I definitely agree with you, it is difficult to find a niche that is easy to rank on first page on google. I know am dealing with intelligent internet marketers on this forum, and would be glad if someone can please PM me with a niche to go into. I know, no one will disclose this publicly, so please help a NEWBIE like me make a fortune online. Please PM me a niche to go into, and I promise to keep it a permanent secret. Trust me!

I agree and disagree with many things posted on this thread.

Yes, research is very important and should be done for every product you make.

However if you are passionate about the product and understand how to reach the small market for highly specialized product, you can make that work too.

It all depends on your IM business model.

For example if I have a what some would say a "unprofitable niche" and I can reach the market, I win.

Lets say I have a ebook that I make. If after few months I am getting $200 a month...

That does not seem like a very successful product, does it?

            You can't live on $200 a month.

            But if I have 20 ebooks that are bringing in $200 a month it is 20 x $200 = $2,000 a month.

What if I have 50 or 100 ebooks that are bringing in $200 a month? You do the math...

            The equation has just changed.

Does that mean that I write 100 ebooks? No it does not. Others can write the ebooks, and becase I know the market I can reach them.

I understand there are new people here trying to get a start, so yes at first they are going to have to do everything becase they cannot outsource the work.

It might be easy to get frustrated if a product does not make $5,000 a month on a first try.

Especially if they are following some "guru" expert.

So research the heck out of the market but also be open to other possibilities...

If in doubt, think about what you find yourself spending money and time on in your own life, and check if there is affiliate or advertising revenue you can make covering that particular area.

For example, my partner is a big Sci Fi buff so he started a science fiction news site. He ended up making several thousand dollars from what was pretty much his first money making site, from ad revenue, affiliate commission, and eventually the sale of the site.

If you spend money and time on something, there's a good chance someone else will too, so that's a potential way to get started. Of course you need to properly evaluate anything to make sure there's money in it before you start, but looking at your own life can give you ideas.

While I agree with 99% of what Alexa suggests, I'm going to throw a twist in the cocktail...

For someone newborn new, I'm going to go with the 'pick a niche you love' folks for the very first niche, and I'm going to suggest that any money they make with it is a happy accident. This niche is their learning lab.

They have enough on their plate learning about keyword research and content creation and driving traffic and monetization and...a whole string of other subjects. Picking a niche they already know and have an interest in relieves them of the burden of subject-matter research on top of everything else.

Once they have that minimum competency, it's time to shoot for a niche with the potential to generate more serious profits. By this time, they have some skills and some confidence in those skills, so they'll be more likely to stay the course when problems come up. Not if, when...

Find a niche about something you already know something about and enjoy, or something you would like to learn more about.

It is much easier to sell stuff and write about stuff that you know about and are interested in.

I would agree that there is no the best niche. If you know exactly unique needs you can satisfy better that others, that will be your niche. But in generally I'd like to recommend personal development niche. You can both develop personally here and at the same time use your new knowledge to create new educational products with high value.

I think its a case of doing a bit of research, look at what you enjoy, your interests are. Make sure the niche has some competition, but not too much.

Using the google free search tool and wordtracker will help come up with good keyword terms to use for your niche.

If you don't have much time, you can buy research or ask for an advice successful friends.
Loss weight niche grows and competitive, but it has many competitors. I would also think about the new niche or niche, which doesn't have high level of competition.

The best markets are where people SPEND LOTS OF MONEY

Once you've found a market/niche where people spend money find out what they are buying and go from there.

Niches related to health, wealth & relationships are a good start.

Sport is another big one, I've made stacks of cash from sports niches.
