Need Help to restart my IM

Dear fellow warriors,

I need some advice, I have been doing IM for several months now, and it seems that i may have lead with the wrong foot here. (its that correct? :p)

I need to restart myself again with IM, start again. Previously, i am doing this just inside my country (local) and not internationally.

Some basic stuff that i have right now,
1) I have a blog
2) I have an autoresponder
3) Have done a free ebook (local language)
4) I really don't have a niche except for money making and affiliates

Do please give some advice, thanks

    Hey

You have all that you need.

    1. Post on your blog regularly.
    2. Setup the autoresponder.
    3. Offer the free copies of the ebook.
    4. Collect leads.
    5. Place ads.
    6. Go sponsored.
    7. Make products, market them.

And, hope you get a refreshing start!

You need to find a niche that you either know something about or are happy to do some research in.

Without wanting to sound rude - you clearly can't be an authority in the making money niche as you aren't making money! Ask yourself - "why would anyone take any notice of what I say?"

Start by finding a niche. What do you/did you do offline? What are your hobbies? Do you or a family member have specific health/social/work issues you can write about? At the moment you are like a boat without a rudder - wandering in an aimless direction.

I've been doing IM for nearly 2 years now. I've tried all sorts of things - but the one thing that really works for me is the thing I did offline - writing tutorials (I'm an IT teacher).

There are 3 things you need to figure out before you jump in to IM again:

    1. Find a niche (info people are looking for in your country)

    2. Do you have something to offer? (Identify affiliate programs or create your own products you can sell them).

    3. Get traffic. (how are you planning on getting traffic to your offer?)

In other words, if you're going to be targeting the Malaysian market... what's are the hot markets / products in your country?

What products are you planning on selling to that market? Have you identified affiliate programs for it (whatever that may be)?

Once you have those 2 things sorted out, you can start worrying about traffic... PPC, SEO etc.

    Thanks guys,

wow, so many information here that I can use to restart my biz/Im/projects.

The local people here (Malaysians) there are more into the traditional MLM and of course some of them goes into Internet MLM like Vemma and GDI, to name a few.

BUt there are some who are aware about making money through the internet. Mostly we do the traditional MLM because some says its easier.

    Moving on,

Other niches, there are some other niches that i could look at, maybe in IT.
    1) I'm an IT library officer
    2) Everybody still has some problems in IT (general subject)

There are also other niches but i am going to stick with the IT.

@Steven - I will look into your super simple blogging (Sounds really interesting!)

    Thanks again Everyone!

    One question...

Why are you targeting the Malaysian market? Any specific reason? Because you could give yourself a much better start by targeting bigger markets like the USA, UK, Canada, Australia etc.

Why make life difficult for yourself?

      I agree

Think of it like this though... When you get in your car to drive somewhere you probably know where you are going...

Your business should be no different.

Pick a niche and stick with it.

Create success with that and then move onto other niches if you want.

But only after you have succeeded with the first.

But do your research to make sure that the niche you are targeting is worthy and the money is there...

The Making Money niche is huge and will never die out.

      hope this helps...

I'm going for the international market too, but not right now.

I am having some trouble finding the traffic for the international means that i don't know where to get the traffic.

If you or anyone could help me up or point me the way, I would be really grateful!

You may want to narrow your focus, and figure out a niche to become an expert in.
After that, become the expert. Set some specific, concrete goals, and try to find someone to JV with or just keep you on your toes. Good luck, you can do it!

    Hi chibobski84,

You're good to go my friend. Come on, why limit yourself to the local market? Traffic? There are lots of forums and blogs where you can get traffic for free by doing backlinking. Did I say forum?

I believe you're using WordPress as your blog platform. There are several plugins that can help you bring traffic or perhaps you can just spend some money for SEO.

      Short term marketing strategies include:

      • Purchasing Advertising
      • Participating in Forums
      • Search Engines

      • Etc.

Long term marketing strategies are those that bring you a steady stream of targeted traffic over time. These strategies will continue to produce results even years down the road.

By creating and implementing a balanced marketing strategy, using both short-term and long-term strategies, you will drive a steady stream of targeted traffic to your web site.

If you use this simple formula when creating your Internet marketing strategy and excel at all three, you can lit

  • Just need the plan.

It's true what's said above, that it's best not to talk about the Money Making Niche unless you've made money.. but that doesn't have to be entirely true, if you piggyback of the success of other people , research the techniques they've used and then bundle them into one guide in your own words, then the methods your providing are proven.

But on the other hand, if you use some of their images, videos or other resources you have to get permission from that person to sell your product and link back to the original source. Just an idea...

You have to narrow it down to a niche IM and money making is too big a market to just be involved in. You can get traffic by just writing 2 -3 articles per day, posting the original articles on ezinearticles. Wait for ezine to make them live then take those same articles and spin each one into another 9 articles and post on the remaining top 9 article sites after ezine.

It is only worth Posting to the top 10 article sites in my view as these are the sites that are going to come up on the first or 2nd page of google when someone searches for your keyword that you contain in the article.
But if you use an automated system that can deliver to 150-750 article sites, even if only the top 10 rank, a weak valued link is still better than no link, and if your spinning your articles incredibly well then nothing should flag up.

      Just my opinion

    Thanks again fellow warriors,

I am not that good in writing articles + ezine is kinda watch your grammar and everything needs to be perfect, huhu, not that good in English (have not practice English for quite some time now)

But I do think that back linking by doing articles and submit it into article directory is a good thing. Traffic and a backlink. that's 2 for a price of 1 or free =p

The thing is, i have to set up another blog for the International version, and start over again plus buy another hosting here in US for fast load. My original blog is hosted by my local server.

Anyway thanks guys for all your help.

First thing to do, is to set up a blog.

There are so many ways to make money with Internet Marketing. It really depends on how much money you want to make, what you enjoy doing, how hard you work and how willing you are to learn.
In my opinion to be successful with Internet Marketing, if you new, it will take at least 6 to 12 months of learning Internet Marketing. Spending 3 to 5 hours per day learning and then implementing what you learned. If your not successful after that, then maybe you are using the wrong vehicle to monetize Internet Marketing. Hope this helps...its just one man's opinion.
