Cheap/Free Shopping cart system? Ideas?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi im looking for a free or cheap shopping cart system,. I have a few sites I want to build, Id like to be able to SEO optimize these sites and sell about 20 maybe more products, Id like a free cart if possible with as many features as possiable.and work with paypal.
An example is:
www.FastStartWebsite.com is cheap,but what are the free alternatives if there is any,.

OS Commerce is one I've used. There are also some free ones that work on Wordpress. A friend of mine has been using one called WP-ecommerce, I believe it's called. She likes it.

There are a few free ones, cubecart, zen cart, os commerce etc, ut all have "issues", so you will need to research each one closely to make sure that you can use it and that it has the features you need.

  Easy to use, looks good, and works seamlessly.
  
  You can also add code widgets for the shopping cart to other webpages.
  
  Many payment options, including paypal.
  
  Works with tangible and non tangible products.
  
  I have tried almost all of the WP plugins and this one works the best in my opinion.

If you want free then I suggest Magento. It's used
by some very big ecommerce stores.

  I installed Mal's shopping cart on a client site. https://www.mals-e.com/ Works well - it was recommended by a friend who has used it for a few years with no problems.
  
  It allows the user to specify an alternative delivery address as well as custom messages which we used to specify delivery date and a message to the recipient.

  Magento is always a good ecommerce platform for growth as it is robust e Commerce software that is used by almost every ecommerce web sites.

I will second Mals as have been using it for years with my own sites and setting it up for customers.

Also has its own affiliate program to help you enlist affiliates.

Examples:

Digital downloads.

PLR Private Label Rights Articles

Tangible products

Promotional Mugs and Glassware Straight from the Printer

  I use osCMax - osCommerce Maximized it is free and has a great support forum. It is an upgraded version of os commerce. I have had only great experience with it..
  
  The interspire shopping cart is also good but that one is not cheap..

Not sure , but i guess ejunkie could be the option. I love it. Though you will need more a robust solution when you will climb high. But I guess it is good for start ups.

Thanks cbright but I am RUNNING from opencart right now, Im even stuff uploading tons of hair products from that crappy old opencart site now! I have decided to spend the money and not go with a free cart! Once you start making money places like these just wont work.
