Question about Camstudio

Is there any video software ( or whatever ) like camstudio that is for free and is better than camstudio?

I am trying to learn how to use camstudio on youtube but I keep seeing comments where people claim camstudio is not good enough.

Is this the case? Is any other better than camstudio that is free?

    Hey do a search for josh anderson and send him a pm he has some great videos on camstudio.

    They are as good as if you did them with camtasia.

      Video capture software is quite difficult to create - so I dont think you will find anything else better.

      Camstudio is like $30, right?

      I used it and it caused nothing but trouble with me.

      You know that Camtasia has a 30 day free trial right?

      That is enough time to create a TON of videos!

    I am going to have to learn how to make videos. We are in 2010 and it is high time I learnt this but I am not willing to spend $300 for now except if I already know what I am doing.

    I am going to go with camstadia's trial period but I want to know if it will capture my screen just like camstudio.
