Help with Selling Ads on Blog

Hi,

I met someone online this week who has a blog
with an average of 6,000 unique visitors daily,
very active and engaged audience, and wants
to sell ads on her blog.

She's looking for some direction, I'd like to
give her some free helpful info. She is including
some of my content in a future story she is doing
(she's also a successful freelance writer)
I'd just like to help her out in return. I've had experience
in selling ads offline, but none online.

I figured she should start by contacting folks
in her inner circle, companies she has already
dealt with and folks who are linked to her blog
(about 500).

She told me she wasn't sure if she should start
with Google Ads, and I told her with the type of
traffic she is getting and her audience, she could
be generating some decent consistent income by
selling space on her blog.

Any suggestions or thoughts on how many ads (without
over doing it) and how much to charge... to start with?

    $10 USD CPM ? Or as you said, go with PPC and let the network decide

    If you want to get your own advertisers then OpenX adserver and google ad manager can be helpful. Charge monthly or CPM way. CPM advertisers like cpx interactive, Buzzlogic are good ad networks. You can also try adsense. But I prefer getting advertisers for monthly sponsorship using openx adserver or Google Ad manager.

    she can sell ad space at digialpoint forum also, but make sure to tell her to only sell super relevant ads or her visitors will get mad.

      Anyone have thoughts about or reviews from those that have used blogads.com?
