Hey Warriors,

Most of my life I've been a little, how do I say, uh pleasingly plump. Anyway my joke has always been, "If you want to look thinner, buy bigger clothes and hang around really big people."

Well this one beats mine.

I'm watching TV right now as I work and an infomercial comes on. It Starts...

"ARE your clothes too tight, are the buttons on your pants popping? Here's the answer."

"Extend a Button."

It's a button device that you use to increase the size of your pants, dress, shirt etc.

Just attach extend a button and your clothes fit perfectly.

Great marketing here.

I guess you really can sell anything, even buttons.

Yeah I've known girls to use hair ties on the button on their jeans to give a little extra room. Maybe there is a market for that too? LOL

Seems pretty much like the same concept

I can see how that works for the waist ... but what about we pear shaped people? the thighs ... maybe those lace up thingies ... can you just picture it ... a button extend on the waist with rolls rolling who knows where ... and blobs peaking out from the laces on the thighs ... omg I can't stop laughing

You'd be surprised what people spend money on. Guess which backwards-robe made its brander a multi-millionaire...

Funny saw the commercial also and thought how ridiculous. The waistband will look off center or my favorite the zipper that likes to slide will have less hindrance.

Available at least since the 1970s, and quite probably longer. I used to see ads for these in the back of magazines, usually for men's shirt collars.
