Anything is a money making niche if you tackle it the right way.

The best way to find a niche is to just look for problems...
People are always willing to pay to get out of pain. The bigger
the problem the bigger rewards.

One thing I've had some luck with back when I was building a lot of adsense sites years ago was just going to the largest local bookstore and taking a look at their magazine section.

You can find all kinds of wierd, super niche niche's that you would never imagine people would be into (at the big chain stores like Borders).

And if you're going for advertising revenue rather than product creation, you know there are enough people spending money on ads to support a print magazine with professional writers, editors, etc.

If you're planning on creating products or promoting affiliate stuff, then you at least know that there are enough human subscribers that they can pitch sales to advertisers.

Used to kill it on those wierd niches because there were buyers, advertisers, and not much strong competition.

Dating advice is always a huge one.

Guys will spend huge amounts of money to satisfy this desire and need for women.

Which is why people like Eben Pagan makes $20 million/year in this niche.

First,I apologise for not making it clear what i meant by 'Money making niche' .

What i meant is a niche where people are Trying to earn some money.

Like 'buy stocks online' or 'learn Forex' where they are looking for ways to earn a extra Money.(Not heal lice and other desperate niches)

I just looked at the answers by fellow warriors and now i realised that i havent explained
what i meant by 'Money making niche' .

I really think you're choosing a niche the wrong way.

Ask anyone here. They'll tell you the same thing.

Do what you love. Choose a niche you are an expert at.

Its always better to be a master at one rather than be a jack of all.

I'll be a little straightforward. You're going to suffer if you just look at choosing a highly "money-making niche". There are so many money-making niches. Your question is "how do I choose a niche?"

Almost all niches make you money. You must know which to choose.

Listen to your heart. It really tells you to choose a niche you love.

Once you're an expert in a niche, you can command any price for consulting, seminars, services and products.

There are two kinds of niches. One type is "vitamin niches" which fuels growth. Niches such as Internet Marketing is a vitamin niche. Another type is an "aspirin niches" which removes headache, pain in any form, etc.

So, first decide what your strength is & what you're already good at. Out of that, look into the marketplace for a specific demand that only you & very few can satisfy. Once you've done that, you've got your niche. Start researching more on the niche.

Always find a need for a product that is unavailable in the marketplace. That's how you'll make more $$$$$money$$$$$. Enjoy!

But internet marketing niche is too competetive.So i was thinking of other

Problem solving niches (if we go by this then we end up with many). But to put it strongly, computer error fixing, software, programming, pet care, acne, weight loss, diet, hosting and many similar niches are still profitable.

Forex & Stock market niche is having too much of competition and very few good places are there that making money(For example, babypips.com is place for beginners and it is earning a lot from forex advice). And i can safely say that newbies should stay away from forex if they have no knowledge of this niche. Building blog/resource for forex without any knowledge will end up with failure. (This is not the niche for buy some articles and paste it on blog and earn from adsense, this simply will not work in 2010). Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Ok well I am not sure if this is how this thread started but, Internet marketing is a pretty vast niche. So what you should do is find the sub-niche within internet marketing.

article marketer
video marketer
SEO strategist
Traffic generation
List building

you get the picture i think. You can narrow down your audience with precise subniches.

E.g. "With my guide you can make $1000 a week in no time by simply XXXXX"

He want's ideas on what the XXXXX can be.
