Unauthorized account activity claim... Huh?

It really infuriates me when a fellow Warrior purchases my WSO and then goes to PayPal within minutes and files an unauthorized account activity claim.

What's up with that..?

I've been using PayPal for quite sometime now and have hundreds of transactions and this has never happened for a WSO...

Is there really that much fraud going on around here or is this just a slickster trying to get his cash back without having to deal with me?

I would think that should raise red flags at Paypal. I mean, how many people check their emails that frequently and could react that quickly?

Don, she's had a number of fraudulent sales against her account. I think it
was hacked. I sent the IP address of the person to Allen to see if he can
              figure out who it is.

Since the name already came up, I'm going to share an email I got from
them earlier today when I challenged this. A guilty person doesn't write these

                Hi Steven,

Neither I, nor my wife Karen Paul ordered this product from you. From
10:09 pm to 2:31 last night and the starting again at 6:50 am this morning
my wife, Karen Paul had her PayPal account fraudulently accessed and 43
transactions were processed. I am working with PayPal and my bank to
resolve this. Thank you for furnishing the IP address where this
originated. I will be forwarding this information on to PayPal.

                Best regards,

You are totally right... Now for some reason PayPal says I have 2 disputes. This blows!

I found the problem... a lot of people aren't being redirected by PayPal after their transaction. Even if they click the link it gives an error. I know my end is setup correctly, I do this for a living!

Once again PayPal drops the ball... Congratulations PayPal for making me look like an idiot!

I have a little trouble myself from time to time. I have 5 instances in the last couple of months where someone has bought a WSO and then file claims that their paypal accounts have been hacked.

A couple of these people claimed they had no knowledge of a Warrior Forum. So I don't know if it is Warriors buying and then disputing the charges, or somebody here on the forum hacking other people's email and PayPal to make the purchase. It's probably a little of both.

So don't think for a minute that this is a completely harmless little (huge) community of tightly knitted folks. Yes I know that most of the people on here are genuine, but we do have sharks among us!

Funny that you post this.. I got my very first one today from my WSO as well. I've never had this claim before with any product I've sold. Today was my first..

In any case, I just refunded the purchase and killed the download link for that transaction. I wonder if we have the same person who did this? PM me and let's see if we got the same culprit.

I had my first dispute today. I woke up and saw two payments from the same person for my WSO. I refunded the first one thinking it was a mistake and would save the person the grief of asking for a refund.

Later I check my account again and there is a dispute.

Tracking the IPs of the person that subscribed and the person that confirms shows to completely different addresses. One is in the US and another one is from india.

I guess something we have to live with...

I just went through this a minute ago. Person ordered through paypal. Then they contacted me afterwards from the same email as paypal account. All was fine. The next day (today) he sends me an email saying he never made a purchase from and was going to his bank to claim fraud. Yet again sent from the same email address. I did a domain whois on his website that he asked me to do work on and everything matched up, his name, email, location. WTF? All I can think it could be is alzheimer's.
