Help! How to format interview transcriptions in Word?

Hi Warriors,

I need somehelp with figuring out how to format interview transcriptions in Word (I'm using the 2004 Mac version) so that they come out something like this:

Jill: Blablablablablabla
Blablablablablablabla

Joan: blablablablablablabla
blablablablablabla

etc.

And once I'll know how to do that...

...is there a shortcut for how to change somethinginto this format without having to edit the whole document.

Right now, it looks like this:

JILL: blablablablablablablalb
blablablablablablbalblablablabl

JOAN: blabalblablablablablabl
blablablblablablblbalablbalablbalbla

Thanks so much for your help.

Elisabeth

Darn, this didn't come out right.

What I was trying to explain is how to do the following:

Have the names on the left of the page, and then have the actual text start about a 2 or 3 inches to the right of the names.

    does that make sense:?

    Thanks!!!

P.S.: I just created a pdf that has the example look like I want it to look:

      Update:

I got myself the Mac Missing Manual for Word 04 and I have it just about figured out.

I also had a friend help me, by email, and between her and the book, I got it.

Word does have a lot of tools I had no idea where there. so I guess there's a benefit to running into trouble.
