How are you guys promoting affiliate web hosting?

I haven't seen many threads dealing with this specific niche.

Are you landing visitors on blogs? Squeeze pages? Review sites?

Are you using SEO? PPC? Articles?

This might not seem like a competitive niche to some of you seasoned veterans, but I'm having a hell of a time both getting traffic and converting traffic.

I don't expect you to give away all your secrets, but I'm loosing my mind trying to figure this niche out.

I'm currently coming at it from a blog with posts geared toward new people looking to get online.

I have had enough bad web hosts to know what is important. And I can build WordPress websites in a matter of minutes. I am basically writing blog post that deal with my experiences.

Maybe this is not a good way to get sales.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Matt

    Thanks Woody,

I never even thought about looking in the WSO section. I just signed up to Daniel's list and will look over the materials.

It look as though it's geared more towards reseller hosting instead of affiliate sales. But learning anything would be a plus at this point.

It is definitely about reseller hosting rather than affiliate sales. I asked why her preferred reselling on the thread if you'd like to read over that.

Daniel is also good about answering PMs if you have any questions.

Matt, you probably already do this but just in case this might benefit others... Here goes:

You need to do some research. The goal is to find where the traffic is. Since you're fixed on the product -- promoting affiliate web hosting -- you need to find out where the potential buyers are.

Then make sure that these potential buyers can find you. Maybe participating in the forums where they hang out, do comments on their blogs, and so on? Every niche is different, so I wouldn't know what works in your niche.

P.S. I usually start from the keywords, find ones that have low competition and high margin, and THEN select products that match the buying desires (wants not needs... ) of people who search for those keywords. But it sounds like you already have a specific product in mind, so you need to work backwards -- find out what keywords can be used to promote that product.

    Thanks Joe,

I have been doing KW research before writing articles. I'm just using Google external keyword tool.

Maybe I need to dig a little deeper.
