Do I Blog or just plain old HTML???

I am about to setup an authority site to support one of my product sites, and I am trying to decide between a blog platform or just a regular old HTML site. I will be creating a site with multiple categories and sub categories. There will be banner adds for my product site, and I may use adsense on the site as well, but there will be no ecommerce on the site itself.

I will be adding in content regularly, but not often (maybe once a month per sub category). I know HTML/CSS and can build this type of a site easily. What advantages would I have to making this a wordpress blog instead?

Blogs for me every time. Easy to update, easy to change design sitewide. I prefer blogs as a visitor.

But when I create a site I can make site-wide changes through CSS. What changes are you refering to that are easier on a blog platform?

Wordpress all the way-You can turn it into an authority site, even put a shopping cart in there. Wordpress has a great quality score and I would definitely recommend you use this format. Outsource if you wish to make it snap crackle and pop
