Test your site how it looks in different browsers.

Check Browser Compatibility, Cross Platform Browser Test - Browsershots is a super helpful site for any webmaster and especially for people who design sites and themes.

It allows to see how your site looks in a variety of different browsers, different resolution and so forth.

(This is only a very few browsers in the picture, the site allows way more)

For example, i recently discovered that a blog of mine looked totally screwed up in Internet Explorer. I am using FireFox and simply didnt check my layout in Explorer. 45% of all visitors to my blog saw a MESS!!

--> You need to know that about 45% of all site visitors use Firefox, 45% use IE...and the majority of visitors do actually use low resolutions with 1024x width the most common. (I myself am using a 1680x monitor, but it should be common sense that you need to make sites which look good and display right for the majority of visitors, therefore design your sites for maximum width of 1024!!)

That site above helps a lot since you can get an idea how it will look in many browsers and resolutions, Linux, Windows, Opera, IE, FireFox, Chrome etc..etc

Unfortunately browsershots is the only option if your a Mac 10.4 user which is a right nuisance.

Lucky enough i have a spare PC which often gets thrown out of the window but its good for testing your site... i found alternative browser captures to be better than browsrshots, i highly recommend...

    Spoon

    And some others...
    7 Alternatives

    Cheers
