Domain Parking - Your advice?

Hi guys

Need to park a couple domains, but want to test something different from Adsense for Domains (and with higher payouts if available).

Your advice is...

Big Mike's easy niche store builder: EZ Niche Builder | Simplify and automate the most redundant parts of building Ebay and other Niche Stores online

You can generate a lot more cash with one of these sites than you can with a parked site.

Thanks Val, but on this one test I wanna use parked domains: buy-configure-that's it.

Anymore solutions to domain parking? Domains from Namecheap.

Have you tried parking them to SEDO? Though i don't have a good experience with domain parking.

I can't answer for Juza but I've never made anything significant on my domains parked at Sedo, parked, etc.

If you look at what the big guys are doing (the ones w/thousands of parked domains) they all use a custom system. I've thought about doing this but just never got around to it. I think w/some simple PHP programming you could put something together that could feed contextual search results, other ads, links to your other domains, etc.

Maybe someone who's already doing this could chime in...

It's just nada/zero/ not even cents. As what has been stated above, big players are using their own custom system to have lots of $$$$ revenues from their parked domains.

It all depends on what kind of domains are you trying to park.. If you want to park generic domains that have type in traffic then you can park them either at Sedo, Namedrive, Parked.. The last being the best of them but also the hardest to get in since you have to get approved..

If your domains dont get any traffic then obviously there wont be no revenue

Also try different keywords for optimization it should yield different results..

Adsense for domains is one of the worst service, just go read at some of the popular forums for domain sale/parking.'

Sedo is easy to use and have some of the highest payouts.
I'm getting average $0.10/click, which is not bad for a parked domain.

Take a look at Noomle Domain name parking and minisites development

They allow you to create minisites with your parked domains and you can monitize them with Chitika, Adsense, Yahoo, eBay, Linkshare and also add articles and Youtube.

    .

If you have a website, instead of parking your domains, you can make them live by using them in the meantime as 'mirrors' or temporary live sites.

This only involves a domain pointing setting on your Cpanel after you've renamed the DNS servers for the parked domains and setting up the new domains on your single hosted site. Then the domain will be live just like any other domain, but which actually resides in a subdirectory of your main domain. The best thing is no visitor can tell any difference.

Bingo. Certain parking providers are better at monetizing certain type of names than others. Parked.com is a pretty good option overall if you are just looking to change the name servers and let them be. You can do some optimizing and customizing, but and easy solution. If you want to move to a more developed looking platform try Devhub. Lots more customizing, but more like developing than just parking.

      Bingo again.

LOL, there is no "art", unless you are talking about arbitrage or something. Change the name servers, add the domains to your parking account, optimize with keywords. Done. As krnekdo stated, no traffic, no revenue. Parking would not be the best option for newly reg'ed domains.

    Hey Fernando,

I have tried dozens of parking services through the years, and keep testing to this day. Generally speaking, my experience is that Parked.com will give you the best results for most domains. I've also had great success with Fabulous.com, although you need to have at least 50 quality domains to be considered for an account there. I am currently experimenting with SmartName.com.

Sure thing. I'm always happy to answer questions, but I do not do appraisals... as it takes research.

I tried it with my unused domains. I parked them with Google, but I did not have enough traffic to generate more than a dollar or so with them. I just park them on an Amazon affiliate site for now until they expire or I decide to use them.

Has anyone tried Domain Sponser? Out of curiosity I applied for them and was accepted, but I don't see much information about their pay rate or anything.

DomainSponsor is a reputable player in the parking arena. It has been several years since I last used them, but I hear good things from other domainers about them.
