INTERNET MARKETING

Hi all

I was just wondering what this Twitter business is all about. I seemt o see it everywhere but not really sure what the concept is and how it helps? Do yu all use it and if so what do you find are the advantages of using it?

Hey Elljay,

Twitter is a great way to build relationships and connect with others. I've actually met some great people on twitter and I've even got some business from folks on Twitter.

Essentially, think of it like an online networking site that forces you to write in less than 140 characters. You write your thoughts and you can reply to others, but it forces you to be creative
in the short amount of space you have to write.

I love Twitter. Next to the Warrior Forum I have found it to be the best place to network and find new writing clients. Ryan Leisure, who does graphics, went on there and found a new client worth a couple hundred dollars a month - his first MORNING. You just have to put some effort into it. Go on there and Tweet frequently. Talk about your work. If you genuinely put some time into it, you will be amazed at the results that you get.

  So you get on there and tweet a lot. You get a bunch of followers.

  Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

  Well, it's no different than building relationships on a forum or at a conference. If relationships can turn into clients (or JV partners) for you, then yes you can monetize it.
  
  I have been able to monetize it and Dana's also mentioned the same.
  
  Of course, you get what you give. I'm not an excessive Tweeter by any means, but I follow it and strike conversations when the time arises.

  This is true, Dana finally got me to sign up for twitter, and I got several contacts asking about my businesses that first day AND signed a guy up for two $100/month business websites with me. I nearly fell out of my chair (actually my couch) I was so surprised with how powerful this thing really is.

It doesn't work for promoting other people's affiliate products but if you talk about what you are doing or creating, people will be interested and some will become customers.

Twitter is a great way to keep in touch and get a pulse on what is going on with other friends out there on a day to day basis.

  Twitter is a nice "one stop" place to see brief recent updates from all the sites and people of interest to you!
  
  And a good way to inform others who may be interested in quick, brief recent updates from you, you know?!

I have been twittering for about a week and cannot believe how many are already following me. Don't know where they all come from but some are obviously related to the articles I publish.
