Keeping Your PC in Tip Top Condition.

Obviously our PC's are very important tools that we use every day.

I just wondered what tools do other warriors use to keep their PC's in the best shape possible.

Mine are:

Spybot Search & Destroy
AVG - free and paid editions
Crap Cleaner
Defraggler
and occasionally Dr Web Cureit

I would add nod32 (eset anti viri) as its the best anti viri I've ever used and I've tried norton / mcaffee / avg and avast and found them to be nowhere as acurate on signatures and use more resources..

I also use the free version of adaware..

    Hi Epicurus,

This is a timely post. Yesterday I spoke to a friend about this.

I already have the free version of AVG and wondered if that was enough?

I'll certainly look into the other different program information mentioned above.

    Thanks, guys.

    Good thread, thanks.

I use some of these same; AVG, crap cleaner and spybot.

Getting sick of AVG and I don't like Avast. I'll take a look at nod32

and you only have to deal with poor platform support in regards to software selection in addition to the OS freezing every now and again(this may have been fixed by now)

Did I mention they are incredibly overpriced as well? for about 1 third of the cost of a mac, you you can get a pc that is 5-10 times more powerfull, and mac upgrades are a ripoff as well?
