Mail from ABC Disney (?)

I just received an email from - maybe - ABC Disney, here's the following:

Hello,

We have received what appears to be a valid DMCA complaint, involving domains xxxxxxxxx.com Index of under your control. As required by federal law, we have taken action to prohibit access to the material until the violation ceases. We are currently reviewing the Claimant's notice to determine if it constitutes valid notice under federal copyright law. Should we determine that the notice is valid, we will be required by federal law to act expeditiously in removing or disabling access to the Infringing Materials.It has come to our attention that there is a large amount of copyrighted material inside or linked from your accounts. As this is a violation of both copyright law and our terms of service We therefore strongly recommend that you immediately remove the Infringing Materials .


As you may be aware, You can be held liable if they do not respond to claims of infringement pursuant to the requirements of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c) (the "DMCA"). In accordance with the DMCA, we are notifying you of infringements on a web site for which you act as an internet service provider.


Agent authorized to act on behalf of my client, Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG) and ABC (the "Rights Owner"), the owner of all rights to the television serie . We have a good faith belief that there is use of the Series which is unauthorized by the Rights Owner, its agents, or the law, and which violates the property rights of the Rights Owner.

Please act expeditiously to remove or disable access to this infringing material.

Problem is, the mail is coming from abcwdigATyahoo.com, so... Disney, or just a smart guy? :p

    It's fake. They'd be using an official email. Plus, there are errors.

    Example: "As you may be aware, You can be held liable".

    Scammer. That email doesn't make any sense. For example:

    "You may be contacted at:"

    "We have received what appears to be a valid DMCA complaint"

    I think the scammer got confused. They meant to write an email sounding as if they were attorneys acting for Disney, but instead signed the email as if they ARE Disney.

      ...I was actually wondering how they got that email, but I forgot about the Public Registration on that particular domain.
