If you want social media script then Dolphin is one good software which is free and does most of the things you mentioned. expertinn.com site is one example of dolphin based communities.

Tyler is right, you can use vBulletin 4.0 Suite version which has blogs, news, forum all in one package. Or you can just run forum with classic version of 4.0.

I have found scripts that you can try.

Dolphin is insanely complex for a beginner. Go with phpfox.
