What is the best way to get people to join your forum?

I am fixing to launch a forum but want to make sure I have all design issues ready to go..

I know about creating dummy accounts and offering free stuff..but any other suggestions?

    Limit guests page views to a certain number and redirect them to the signup page after they've reached that number. Fill your forum with great content posts and INTERESTING titles.
