If I buy an ebook with resell rights ... can I give it away as a bonus?

Quick question, I am abit confused when it comes to resell rights and master resell rights and stuff, but if I buy an ebook that comes with resell rights, can I give it away as a bonus?

  • Some you can, some you can not.
    You'll have to reference the agreement for the book. I've seen it go both ways.
  • You should never make an assumption based on the type of rights you have. Always refer to the license that comes with the product for exactly what you can do with it.
    Also, you should keep this license for future reference - you'll never know when you may need to refer back to it.

      One of the ebooks, at the very end it tells you what you can and cannot do, but the other one didnt. I just sent them an email to see what they say.

      I am wondering if I am supposed to remove that end part on the first one?

      Should I just leave it in? I am not selling it as a "resell" thing, just a bonus.

  • If you offer it just as a bonus - make a new License for it and say "it is for personal use only", then put the license file in the zipped downloadable package.
