Is there a such thing as having too many plug-ins

I have an addiction... I accumulate plug-ins. And I can't control myself.
Is it possible to have too many?

In other words... Will I screw up my blog if I have too many plug-ins?

Oh... I use wordpress.

I don't see it to be a problem except when some of them conflict for the same php commands

this happens to me sometimes when similar php commands are being used

otherwise if your blog runs fine then I don't see this as a issue

    I also run many plugins

    Your blog looks great!

It's looks very professional and as long as the plugins drive traffic and make you some money I see no problem.

With so many javascript to load before the page content, you are slowing down the load of the page, although I notice you are using external servers to serve static files.

Btw, great choice on "nginx" server as the front end for static files. I personally use them for all my servers right now because of its performance and small memory footprint.

    Regarding plugin, yes and no.

Plugins mean more code. Unless you also cache your page with WP super cache or something, you are executing the code every time, hence making the page longer to generate. Of course, some plugins may not be executed every time because of the functionality.

The conflict isn't in the same php command, but in functions. Unless you are very careful, some of them may be redundant, if not causing problems, not to mention the security related issue.

I use a boat load of plugins, specially after a football party where bean dip, cheap beer and spicy tacos are served.
