Can you do Youtube Video Ads on Craigs List?

Was curious if you can upload the youtube videos into the ad space with the youtube code.

    No. You can't.

    The closest you can get to the same effect is hosting a gif
    video (no sound) on your own server and embedding it a
    a picture in the ad.

    I just tried this and it doesn't work form me.

    You could put a link to the video.

    Then in the description put a link to whatever else you want to.

    A picture of a good scene from the video with a transparent
    triangle "play button" layered on top makes a nice "click me"
    image that can be linked to your video. I've used this on
    CL - but it opens another page, which can be any page you
    want. You can also open the video in full-screen mode, which
    is a cool effect that makes 'em sit up and notice you're doing
    something a bit unexpected. The unexpected awakes the
    prospect from slumber. Most ads are cliche and boring - it's
    worth working to make your stand out. Be warned though, on
    CL it can hurt your inquiries if you advertise too well because
    a lot of prospects will assume (often correctly) that you're
    prices are too high for them. Effective ads filter out the people
    who cannot afford you sometimes. The lesson here is that
    if you're too good at this stuff, you'll cut-out the bottom-end
    of the market sometimes, which is not always what you're after.
