Pay Per Call - You will want to get on board with this.

Not sure if this has been discussed here, yet, but when I logged into my CJ.com account today I noticed an option to sign up for "Pay Per Call", which is similar to CPA, except you get paid whenever someone picks up the phone and calls the company.

Apparently, the average price per call is $10.00. Some of the offers are pay-per-call (whether or not a close is made), and others are pay-per-conversion (much higher commission per close.)

This will be huge for both publishers and advertisers, and I've already submitted an application. Make sure you submit one asap as the email they sent me said it can take a few weeks for approval.

This is WONDERFUL, especially for niches with high end products/services, where customers often want to talk to someone before forking up the doe. Before, if you sent the traffic and they didn't buy off the site you were SOL - now, they don't even need to visit the vendor site for you to make the sale!

It also opens up so many more doors than just "online" - if you know an offline source of targeted traffic for an offer through the Pay-Per-Call program, you could make a fortune handing out fliers / cards / etc. at strategic locations, or even paying certain business owners for you to leave a stack of your fliers / offers.

Very, very, cool. I can already see an army of WSOs coming out on how to leverage Pay Per Call for all kinds of niches in your local community.

Here are some benefits I see for different types of marketers:

For Video/YouTube marketers - instead of your traffic having to find your link in the description (annoying now, b/c with the HD option the pointing at the link deally doesn't work as well) or type the full url in their browser, your call to action is just "Call xxx-xxx-xxx for a free quote", and they never have to leave YouTube for you to get paid.

For Article Marketers - instead of your traffic having to read all the way to the author resource box to go to your site/offer, you can hit them with your offer in the first paragraph. "This article is about how to lose weight quickly. If you're eager to get started now you can call Jenny Craig at xxx-xxx-xxxx and a representative will send you a free diet program (it comes in a neat red box!)"

Social Media Marketers - how about a tweet like, "Jenny Craig's giving away free diet packages: xxx-xxx-xxxx"

Bloggers/Affiliate Publishers - No need to link to the vendor - you can get paid right off your posts!

Offline Goldies - This probably won't happen for a while, but wouldn't it be great to put up a local business portal on "[your city] doctors" and get paid each time they called, not having to collect leads and then try and sell the businesses you collected them for on why these are valuable???!!!

Whew - !

Okay, here is the link to where you can sign up (not an aff link):

http://www.cj.com/paypercall

There is a "About the platform" link on that page, which is a .pdf guide that goes into the program in more detail. TO YOUR SUCCESS WARRIORS!

Cheers,

Scott

    Hey Scott,

I've been a member of this for awhile. It is promising.
A few things to keep in mind...

People need to be on the call for X amount of time. A
    minute, couple of minutes, etc.

During that first part of the call, people are asked very
    qualifying questions.

Example: A number to call if someone wants to know more
    about Time Share....

They would be asked some top questions right away like,
"If we had exactly what you were looking for, would you
be willing to place a $500 deposit today?"

Now the above is just an example - but believe me, if you
were a company that was paying per lead (per call), you'd
also make sure in order to pay for the lead that the person
    was highly qualified.

Not as easy as some may think - but it is doable for sure!

And you are right - it did open some additional doors on
how to market. There are so many markets that would
much rather pick up the phone and talk to someone live.

    Also think postcards

Yeah, where I really see the value is in being to promote the offers that are pay-per-conversion (not the per call) - it makes promoting high end services much more attractive.

Yes...this is a great a viable option and if done right can be very lucrative.

I have been using Pay-Per-Call since it's release and am currently marketing two of the promotions.

In addition to postcards....think classifieds in your local newspaper...especially the service directory if you have one. I have had UNBELIEVABLE Success running cheap classified ads for the Home Improvement Offers. So much so I have expanded into my tri-state area....and am currently crunching the numbers on a national campaign.

      Good Stuff!!!

The pay-per-conversation is nice. Now if a company
would just launch a number people could call to complain
about their job, husband, wife, life, economy, gas prices,
etc. then we could send them MILLIONS of people.

How do they track affiliate commissions? Does the customer get a discount code that identifies you, or is there another way for phone calls?

I joined over a month ago, but am just now really taking advantage of it. Not sure what I what was waiting on, but I'm ready to ditch my whole website and just focus on pay per call. Beats trying to drive traffic to my website in hopes of creating a lead or a sale to the advertiser website in hopes of conversion.

Anyway, to answer your question, initially you are assigned 5 unique lan line 800 numbers so any calls made to those lines for the specific amount of time required by the advertiser are paid directly to your CJ account and are paid to you just like your pay per click advertisements. Once you are successful in obtaining 100 calls you will have the ability to request more unique lan line toll-free numbers to use for additional online and offline advertisement.

In the few weeks thatI have taken advantage of it, I have been very successful in my marketing efforts.

I was excited when I saw this and cannot wait to get started. However, I am still awaiting approval; but I am definitely looking forward to all the possibilities.

Hey Sean, Scott and anyone else looking at this affiliate model, I signed up a couple weeks ago but have not really started. Is anyone having luck on classifieds such as CL, or just local print ads?
