Hi,
I have been hearing the term "google sandbox" a lot, and am getting a little worried for one of my sites.

I build this site in march 2009,and it was getting some traffic.

And then in september due to some hosting problems my site was offline for almost 3 months.I was out of country so I couldn't do much.

Now I have started working on the site again.
I do see trafiic from my articles to the site,but its not ranking for the keyword.

Is there a way to find out if my site is sandboxed?

the only way i know of is manually looking......i had a sinusremedy site created around the same time as yours and immediately ranked #1 on page 1

after a few weeks the google dance (sandbox) started...it ended up on page 55 of google

how did i find out it was on page 55?....i clicked on every single page until i found it!

now, some sites may not be found..

after about 7 months, my site is was back on page 1.....right now it's on page 1, #5 for it's main keyword

  I would suggest checking your site to see if it's de-indexed first before checking the sandbox. Here's how to check to see if your site is still on Google index:
  
  1. Go to Google.com
  2. Type "site:yoururl.com" in the search bar
  
  If you see your site in the results, then your site is still indexed.
  
  Now, you can type in the keyword that you are aiming for and see the position of your site. The easiest way to do this is to type your site name. For example, if your site name is rapidfatloss.com then I would type "rapid fat loss" on the search bar.
  
  If you see your site on the first or second page, then you are not being sandboxed.

Check and see where your pages are for your keywords, do some serious backlinking and your pagerank will increase

there are soooooo many theories floating around saying that the sanbox is fake, it is real, blah blah blah. I dont think that any sort of case studies or anything can prove or disprove this theory.

remember, it is only a theory, Google has never confirmed or denied it's existence.
