How do I market this new concept?

I've gotten overwhelmingly positive support for this new peer to peer funding concept (see below). The site launched just 2 wks ago.

I've done the usual marketing tactics; Twitter, Facebook, disucssion forums, some articles. I'm starting to send out localized press releases spot lighting each business. Will do a national press release when more projects are posted.

What else can I do to get the word out about this cool new concept?

Do you have any marketing budget for this project? I think PPC is worth to try?

I've lost money on PPC for a previous business. Since my keywords are so common (small business funding, etc) I'm afraid I'll lose a bundle.

Do others think PPC is worth a shot for this site?

If possible for u to create a mobile version of the site, then u can consider mobile advertising which cost less for ppc.

So this site is kind of like prosper.com but members are giving their money to other companies for free? Is that how I understand it correctly?

I think you will have an overwhelming response from people who need more for their business but not very many willing to give up their money. I am a bit confused on that part if you could clear it up a bit more for me please.

Otherwise what you are going to want to do is get your hands into two different areas and NO its not PPC theres so much FREE advertising out there I still do not understand why people use PPC. Your going after new comers with an idea in mind who need the funds to see their dream happen.

Dreamers and investors. I see you already created a blog thats a good first step to try and get some people to understand your business. Shot for a squidoo, wetpaint and hubpages site as well. Get into web2.0 a bit more interact and find new comers to your targeted niche via facebook create a fan page about what your company does. Just a few ideas I hope they help you out

80% of my sales come from PPC, but PPC only accounts for 20% of my traffic.

I think (at least in my niche) people clicking the sponsored search results are hungry to buy, not just browse.

I think it helps to be listed in both the organic results as well as the sponsored results for the same search. People see you listed in both and your credibility goes up.

Also, for a brand new site, it's a good way to get the word out. Just sayin...

That is a good point seeing your ad in both organic and in the PPC results could improve your views you get along with sticking in the searches head a bit better.

Ok then. Time to dig out some capital for PPC.

Thank you for the reasoning points.

Preneuraholics.com targets those that either want to start a new small business (or own a small business that is struggling) but have not been able to obtain traditional funding from banks, venture capital, grants or angels. They post their business idea or existing business and request funding from fellow entrepreneurs (or anyone). The funds are donated monies. Not loans. People choose their favorite business and offer a small donation to help out a fellow entrepreneur. Because these are small dollar amounts, the donor should not expect a monetary return on their "investment". The concept takes into account that there are hundreds of thousands of people in the same predicament. If they help each other with small donations, these businesses can get funded. Just because someone might not be able to afford $40,000 to fund their own business, they surely can give $25 to help another business. They can request funds for their business and pay it forward by donating to another.

I am here to learn so please excuse my ignorance....what is : squidoo, wetpaint and hubpages?

Sounds like you just need to scale up what your already doing. But I don't know how good your content is. Also you must include video marketing--maybe some affiliate incentive or seek JV partners

You don't know how good the content is because you haven't looked at it or you looked at it but don't think the content is good?

Video marketing...as in You Tube or as in video on the website itself?
