WordPress shopping cart with affiliate program

Hey all. I'm looking at starting a shopping cart with an affiliate program. I've used osCommerce/zencart before, and I just can't see me wanting to ever want to do that again.

I've got some experience with VirtueMart for Joomla, and I've found affiliate plugins for it as well. It seems like a good option.

However, like many people on this forum, I'm just in love with WordPress. Does anyone have any experience with any of the ecommerce plugins for WordPress? And how about integrating an affiliate plugin with it? I've not come up with much by searching Google, but I'm hoping someone has some experience with some plugins that can point me in the right direction. If there's nothing, I'll go with Joomla/VirtueMart.

Thanks!

I am using WP eStore for my book's website and it is working great. It offers coupons but I am not sure about affiliate though.

A new wordpress client of mine is using Features Shopp — plugin ecommerce for wordpress and although I haven't used it myself, it appears pretty clean.

Hi Stevenbrady, you might want to look up PCI compliance because new standards driven by the credit card industry went into effect in June of this year. In other words, great care must be taken if you're transacting on your web site. Some ecommerce packages like ON Shopping Cart or Premium Web Cart connect from the back end to your sites with hyperlinks. If you're good with HTML editors you can skin order forms with the look and feel of your web sites. Also, Wishlist allows for you to create slick memberships if you go to a subscriber model or include one with your offerings. Cheers and good luck!

I am also using WP eStore, WP eMember and WP Affiliate on my sites. I love that I can use them on as many WordPress sites as I own and only have to pay once.

Their services has been prompt in the forum as well.

      Mr. Coulson,

Thanks for the post. I visited your site and it seems you are recommending different tools for CRM and Affiliate Management. Do you still recommend WP Estore and WP Affiliate for IMrs? I have a list of 40,000 and do teleseminars so traffic comes in huge waves. Do you think these might work well for me? I'm currently using Infusionsoft. Thanks.

With all the craziness of PCI Compliance and the threat of losing one's ability to have a merchant account for 7 years if a claim is brought against you and you are found to not have a PCI Compliant online transaction system, I have thrown all self-hosted systems out the window and now use Premium Web Cart. No looking back now. Cart, affiliate prog, email funnels (that's right, no more aweber), crm, membership, included support by phone/chat/email, must I go on?
