Can Article Writing can work very well for something that is not a niche like Home Business?

I have defiantly had some success with Article Writing but its not my strong point. Trying to get web traffic with articles to such a saturated topics and keywords that relate to Home Business is difficult. I think I do end up driving much of my own traffic to these articles with Social Media. I would appreciate some input...

Yes, you could do this. But in order to do it you need to come up with less competitive keywords. In order to come up with less competitive keywords, you will want to breakdown your topic.

So instead of home business think of specific issues that concern home businesses or different types of home businesses. So you do end up with 'niche' articles, but they will bring the type of traffic you are looking for - because these people will be interested in home business info.

      Hi

      Yes, most definitely.

With great content, correct marketing and repeated action, article marketing will work in any niche.
Have you considered combining article marketing with:

    Hi James

I just posted a comment on another discussion area on the forum. I write for offline businesses and articles bring untold traffic for them. As everyone has said just make sure you do your research and competitive analysis first. Then submit to good article sites. Make sure you are writing good content with at least one actionable thing your reader can do. Construct a good resource box and a nice free report...and you will get sign ups.

One of my hobbies is in the dog niche ( pretty competitive ) and my only promotion method for that is a few articles a month on ezine pushed into an autoresponder series. It pays me a few hundred pounds a month..............for just a few hours work. So stick with it.

    Best Wishes

The home business is really saturated, however I do believe niche topics are less competitives and easier to get high traffic on the article directories. Also you may try getting different keywords, use tools like wordtracker and see the competition.

It's no surprise if you make an article with keywords that have a competition of 206,783 sites out there that will be difficult to rank at Google and two to give you a good traffic surge from article directories.

I think the gold is on the keywords.

  • Typical problems home business owners deal with, specifically with the Business Model your involved with is:

    Lead Generation
Marketing Properly (Doesn't know what Attraction Marketing is)
    Money to supplement autoship
    Then the usual:
    traffic
    SEO
    Copywriting
    Increasing page coversions
    creating good capture pages
    Getting good Adwords Quality Score

All stuff their Network Marketing business do not show them usually..

I'm sure you can come up with more

I was with ccpro at one point, but I swapped.

    Jay.

Awesome great points, longer tail keywords and then niche markets that are by products of the home business industry....

Any other ideas? I write some articles myself and then outsource the others.

James, you can even expand into areas like how to coach team members, how to train new team members, what to do when someone actually says yes.

You can go into the mechanics of operating a home business - office setup, paperwork flow, tax issues in your model, and so on.

Although I'd use something like XMind now, I did a mind map like this on paper several years ago. I never ran out of things to write about, just kept jumping 'all over the map', so to speak.

I was publishing a weekly newsletter back then, rather than article marketing. Even though none of my organizations ever grew past a few dozen people, I had over 1,200 subscribers when I shut it down (high water mark was around 2,500). Never really did any promotion for it other than a sig link at a forum I hung out on.

Great ideas, I like the coaching and mentoring. I am very good at that, going to use that for some articles and videos. Thanks John !!!
