I learned from someone's advice when I was just in college: "If you want to learn something quickly, teach it now".

So when I got my first job as an Autocad Draftsman, I taught my officemates every lunch time as I was learning the new techniques. But I make it a point that what I'm teaching is valid. I sure helped some of them get a better job as well. That process also made me an expert and gave me a better job.

Is this the same in Internet Marketing?

I know that you should learn from people who have done it. But if you have something valuable and you know that it is valid, can't you just pass-on what you just learned? If I could share something that can help another, it surely will motivate me on my online passive income business.

And if you see that people really benefited from what new techniques or new ideas that you shared them, even if you are just new to that, wouldn't that be a great feeling and an awesome self motivation?

I learned the same thing in college. The best way to learn something is to teach it.

I think we all already do that in this IM forum, and yes, when I share something that someone else says they benefited from, it does make me feel good.

We all pass a lot of stuff on in here, that's what makes this such a great community.

How do you know it is valid if you have never done it?

Just make sure that when you're teaching something you've just learned yourself in IM that you are honest about your results. If you've not yet tested what you're teaching, then make sure others know that. If you've tested what you're teaching and it's working well for you, then let them know that too.

There are too many IMers out there that will pass on good information with good intent only to find out that what they're teaching never really works for them. Or, they pass along info from a "guru" that is all just theory that's never been backed up with real success.

The IM community expects a bit of "expert" if you're going to be teaching others. That doesn't mean that you can't share your recently acquired information with others with good intent. Just make sure that the others know that you are NOT an expert on it, and you are just trying to help. Otherwise you may want to buy a flame-retardant suit

    Good luck. Hope that helps.

PS: And yes, you're absolutely right! Teaching something makes you learn all that much quicker and be much more confident in your skills than silently acquiring knowledge.

Thanks guys! With regards to validity: If what I learned is something clear, or it came from a respected entrepreneur that worked for him or her. Also, if I am currently doing a procedure that I learned from experts and I am getting good results, I would teach that with others and somehow, I get more ideas and motivation from that action.

Oh, and if I may add, I also found myself teaching others to avoid the mistakes that I did so they don't have to go through that. It also reminds me not to do it again.

I think you should only teach what you have done your self... Some expert may of done it and it may of worked for them but it may not work for 100's of others and then you go teach it, that isn't such a good idea. Aslong as you done it and it has worked for you, you know it works, then you should teach it if you wish to.

It is funny this thread has started now, because I just started doing exactly that...
I am creating screen capture videos on tips, tricks and basics I know about online marketing and giving it away in my newsletter... I can only agree that I learn better when I teach... It sort of sets things in perspective :-)
