If You Had To Pick 6 Web 2.0 Sites For SEO & Ranking In Google Which One Would You Pick

I'm trying to get a site indexed & in the top ten in google &
I don't want to waste my time on sites that do not help get a
site ranked.

I know sites like digg, squidoo, hubpages are the major ones
which one would be the best to concentrate on.

Depends on the niche you are targeting.

I like to focus on the niche rather than taking the general approach. That why you not only get the benefits of higher search from PR rankings, you can also bleed off of the customer base for traffic.

Example: A fitness site would do real well by creating a profile and starting a blog(think linkwheel) at Fitness Magazine: Weight-loss plans, video workouts, abs exercises, diet plans, beauty tricks, and health advice and other health and fitness sites like it. You can also use thier blog network for commenting.

Another word on niche seo is that different web 2.0 property's rank better for different niches and even can go as deep down as to different keyphrases.

I generally just use senuke and then use all of them and then the ones that are ranking high naturally are the ones i work on more.

I know it depends on the niche but for landing page would blogger, squidoo
or some of the other blogs be your 1st pick & then create profiles at the
above sites for the niche linking back to blogger creating a linkwheel.

      Ok!

In that case what you really should be asking or looking for is something with the least distractions and that you have the most control over how it looks and what you can add to it.

Now having your own domain and hosting is of course the best option for high conversion rates but if not im fairly sure the next best is blogger (but its been a long time since i setup landing pages on there).

Just make sure you remove that annoying top bar and monetize that space!

Then it really doesn't matter if it ranks well or not because you can get traffic to it and not loose any sales or conversions because of distractions like on squidoo, hubpages etc etc

Also it means you can rank the other web 2.0 property's that rank high in your niche and filter down the traffic to your landing/squeeze page on blogger.

Oh...I call those one page wonders. Yes...those are just as wonderful.

This is how I plan my attach:

      A. Niche Social Network with PR and high customer base
      A1. Squidoo
      A2. Hubpages
      A3. Scribd
      A4. Weebly
      A5. LiveJournal
      A6. BlinkWeb

      B. Niche Social Network with PR and high customer base
      B1. WetPaint
      B2. Yahoo 360
      B3. Tunblr
      B4. Google docs
      B5. Zimbio
      B6. OnSugar

      and so forth...

Then create a Yahoo Pipes or rss remix from somewhere meshing all your properties together then submitting that to all the rss directories.

And all the other stuff everyone here talks about.

Yahoo pipes is where you can create a "pipe" of all your individual rss feed output into one. That's also called a remix.

You can get more info about pipes here:

That's also incorrect. The pdf's at scribd also get picked up by google seach engines and indexed.

Yeah, well I`ve red that somewhere so I`ve believed it. I think is was on their support page. I cannot remember.

Anyway, it seems like I have a bit of a problem. No matter what formats I`ve uploaded and no matter how I insert my links in a scribd ipaper after the upload my links look like this:

          http://www.scribd.com/doc/25317004/Nasi-Lemak-Recipe

and I want them to look like this:
          http://www.scribd.com/doc/3975861/Of...s-SEO-Services

so my viewers can actually click the links inside.

          What am I doing wrong?

Well...you must have gotten it fixed. In your Offshore Outsourcing Web Promotions pdf...all the links are clickable and working.

The first url you listed above has been deleted or the link doesn't go to where you would expect.

P.S. next time start a thread of your own when you have a question...don't hijack someone elses thread. You'll get a better response that way too.

This is a tough one, as others have said I use senuke so I get a ton and it really does seem to differ which one's perform the best.

Overall, I think Youtube, Ezinearticles, Facebook, Twitter, and Squidoo are very helpful.

That's some list thanks all for the replies now it's time to start doing it
and picking which ones to concentrate on.

There's only so much time we have in a day & that's why I posted
    the question.

I'm going to start with blogger sense google owns it & go after
some hot trends & promote some CPA offers or a clickbank program.

My recent experience is that squidoo and wordpress/blogger blogs are the best as far as 2.0. For bookmarking, digg no longer seems to give follow links, and my best results actually are through jumptags lately. I like mixx, my favorite used to be digg, but I think jumptags is your best bet in that regard.

At any rate, if I had to choose 3, I'd go with squidoo, blogger, and jumptags, but it looks I'm in the minority here. The squidoo slap seems to be over though.

By the way, I was specifically responding to 'indexing' not SEO results. Just to make that clear.

Edit: I should add, if you're just trying to get indexed, I personally like the shotgun approach. Just hit onlywire, submit to every rss aggregator you can find, ping everything, and you'll be all good.
