I see there has been 11 million dollars raised for Haiti rescue efforts through texting donations alone. I didn't know so many people were texting. I myself don't.

Not trying to be insensitive but that got my marketing senses tingling. What kind of way can we reach these people for business purposes. It seems like they are a very responsive bunch and have banded together for this worthy cause to the tune of 11 mil.

How do you reach people using texting combined with marketing? Anyone?

    Just spoke to this mobile media company the other week and its insane the amount of money people raise from texts and mobile marketing...we are talking about universities that have advertisement at football games or fundraisers like Haiti

    We are going to implement this at a charity gala I am involved with, but the point is that texting on mobile devices is absolutely gigantic

    On a side note, if anybody is thinking about donating to help the recent Haitian victims, DO IT. Absolutely devastating what is going on...just to think the majority just want water...not rims on their car or the new iphone, WATER...i digress

    i have no idea how to implement it- but i honestly think mobile phone marketing is where stuff is heading. Making apps for mobiles, membership programs etc. I think it is going to be MASSIVE. Just need to figure out how it works lol
