Autoresponder Question - For Squeeze Page TO Sales Page

by BJ Min 6 replies
Hi,

I have a squeeze page for my website.
After you sign up for my list, you get re-directed to SALES PAGE.

The problem is, you get re-directed to SALES page the FIRST TIME
you sign up.

The second you sign up, it goes to ERROR PAGE (I made).

Should I just make the error page (to sales page)?

This is because in getresponse, you have two options to put:
1) Confirmation URL:
2) Error Page URL:

Currently I put
1) Confirmation URL: MY SALES PAGE
2) Error Page URL: AN ERROR PAGE I MADE

Should I change this to:

1) Confirmation URL: MY SALES PAGE
2) Error Page URL: MY SALES PAGE

because many of my previous customers say they cant
go the sales page when trying to sign in from the squeeze page
since they already signed up for the list before...

By the way, for "Allow Duplicates", I put NO....when I put YES, it
doesn't go to sales page either (unless you click on YES, I want to subscribe
again...which most people won't do).

Has anyone had this problem? I would appreciate any of your
help to fix this problem.

Thank you,

BJ

PS...basically i want all my list & continued list people to
use my squeeze page to GO TO THE SALES PAGE...that's it.

Why would you have them sign up a second time for
    the same list?

You make a different list if you want people to sign
    up twice for some reason.

Seems like this would be a good question for the GR tech team, yes?

i asked getresponse and still waiting for answer....but wanted to
ask you guys WHO USE GETRESPONSE>..what you do...

do you put error page as SALES PAGE as well? for your getresponse code
(just like you put confirmation page as SALES PAGE)?

Do you know for sure they won't choose the YES option? If they want the product badly enough, I don't see why they wouldn't. As someone already asked, why do you want people to sign up more than once for the same product?

I use GR, but I haven't used this feature. I set my option to No duplicates to keep my list clean. From what you describe, it sounds like you're doing things right. Choose "YES" to allow duplicates, set your URL as your sales page. If you still need an error page, you can either use your own or your sales page, although that sounds like you'd be sending them in circles.

They start on your sales page? Opt-in? Try to opt-in again? Get the error page, which is your sales page?

Sorry, it doesn't compute because they'd again opt-in and go back to the error/sales page.

If you want them to be able to access a second product on the same list, then you can make your error page your second product page.
