1 page niche websites?

How well do 1 page wordpress niche website convert? I have been putting together about 5 page websites with good content and optimized with amazon/ebay/adsense and PPC. However, I was wondering if 1 page sites convert well, too?

    If the product is hot and the sels page is right dam sure that it will convert.
    Do you remember John Reese traffic secrets, one page website made him 1.000.000 $ in just one day.

    To me the problem with 1 page sites is not whether they convert or not, but how you bring traffic to them. If you're using PPC that's fine, but if you're doing SEO, the chances are you won't rank your 1 page site.
    I have many 1 page sites (or landing pages) that I use for article marketing and they do fine, but they also don't rank on the SERPS. In fact I think, the less content you have, the better if you're sending them to a good landing page (of the merchent)

    If you're using Wordpress, then make a certain page be the front page of your domain, ie the home page, then create as many posts or pages as you want around the back side.

    Track everything and figure if the one page out performs the average of the others.

    I like to create bigger sites when I do niche affilaite marketing. I can just cover
    so many keywords in that niche with one domain. And from my experience bigger
    sites rank easier.

    I have several 1 page wordpress blogs and as mentioned above I use them as
    landing pages for my articles. I never really tried to promote these sites using
    other methods than article marketing and never really build lots of backlinks to it.
    That's why they don't rank well.

    But I am pretty sure that you could rank pretty good with them if you keep
    building backlinks and if the first page of google isn't full of authority sites.
