Domain name advice: value and legality issues!

I picked up a great LLLLL.com domain name that has received about 13 unique views from typos in 5 days of registration. I could extrapolate it to estimate maybe 50 uniques a month from natural traffic, without any advertising/Google rankings. The domain name (minus the .com) gets 2,400 Google searches per month, too.

What should I expect to get for it?

Secondly, am I allowed to list this domain on Sedo and Flippa simultaneously?

And lastly, suggestions for other sites to list it on?

Thanks so much.

Without having a clue what the name is all I can say it is worth absolutely nothing at this point in time.

If you are getting an average of 2-3 typo redirects a day there will come a point when one of the trademarked/copyrighted big boys will come knocking and simply take it simply because it is similar and leeching, there is a whole law dedicated to this somewhere called cybersquatting.

Those people who are visiting your site, are they actually buying anything or simply there to look at the pretty colours?

It is one thing to have 2-3 lawyers and court officials, or doctors or other such professionals looking at a site everyday by accident, quite another to have 2-3 kids who are looking for Elmo and the Cookie Monster.

And yes, you are allowed to list on many multiples of sites all at the same time, simply take them down when the trade is done.

Well, the domain name is footl .com -- possibilities for football or foot-care related sites, I think.

I don't know if they'd buy anything -- I only bought the domain name recently and I'm trying to figure out if it's worth keeping it and monetizing it myself or if I should sell.

    Thanks for your advice!

Is anyone willing to give me a little advice on the value of that domain name? I'm stumbling my way around website flipping for the first time and really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Without any kind of domain or past history even with a name like that which can be recognised you are going to be struggling to find a valuation, all of them being pure conjection and guess work.

This site is handy for getting an idea for what people are actually searching for, if there are any related adverts and such though you really must ignore the valuation it gives, a website is only worth what someone will pay for it, usually 8-10X monthly earnings though if you have a well aged website that has been doing consistantly well for years you will be able to command a much higher price I should expect.

Free Domain Appraisal, Domain Name Valuation and Keyword Research Tool

(Only time you shouldn't ignore the valuations and go for it is when it gets to the $2500+ range as that is based on traffic, overture, adverts, bounce rate and other such things)

And yes, foot related products, especially for women would be an excellent use of it and if you can start getting it recognised you might be sitting on some valuable real estate as 2400 come looking for it every month

And if you notice one like camcordermini.com that I grabbed with a number in the $5000 range then jump on it, do not wait to ask here, sort out all the worrying about having lost $10 later lol

Don't worry, in time you will recognise potential winners even before you check the stats
