A Secret Discovery

So im looking at my Aweber stats and noticed that they provide a latitude and longitude # for the persons IP address location. (Im sure you all know that)

So I plugged it into Google Earth and it pretty much shows where they live or where that IP address is located. (It doesnt give exact home addr's that I know of.)



Just wondering... what are some ideas I can apply this "person finder" type info to?

Does anyone use this info for anything IM releated?

    It`s nothing new - it`s knowed you can track a person by IP.

    I guess you can make sub-lists by geographical region, and promote local stuff to them. Maybe find out the local events going on related to your niche, and email only the guys in that whatever region about the events as a friendly recommendation.

    You can hire people to track events where big number of your subscribers are them email them about those.
