Looking at your signature file you seem to be a great writer. Perhaps you can offer your service using WSO?

I've got to second this. I also checked out your signature file and it does appear that you are a fantastic writer. From what I can see, people are always after content creation services around here.

Oh I'm sorry, yes IM tips. I just started writing articles this week... so I'm very, very new I have a passion for romance and writing,, so I writing mainly on that. I also started some one working from home. I have a about 250 views total, just no sales yet. I do not expect any money overnight, but just wondering if that is normal to have that many views, with no money?
Also, I'm still a little unsure on where I draw the line on just how much information I give out on my ideas. I mean, if I give too much, nobody would want to buy the product, right?
Thanks so much for welcoming me! I look forward to getting further into this, and getting to know a lot of wonderful people.

Hi Cindy, a WSO in a nutshell is a cheap offer advertised here only that allows people to build an email list so that they can market to them later, imagine if you had a killer procedure that makes you a 90% conversion to sales, you would post a WSO (you would have to pay the admin for advertising) and with the thousands of people looking through the forums you could get many hundreds signing up...

When you come out with updates or some such offer you will have a captive audience to market to...there have been quite a few very rich people who have done this from scratch I hear

Thanks Craig. See, I really have to learn. I very much appreicate all the help I can get. No, that is not my site. That is what I am promoting and I thought I had to put that in my sig box to gain traffic. It wasn't until Kimi, and JKhourly had said anything about it. I then clicked on it, (thinking it was my article), and now I'm learning it's not. How embarrassing :{ I do not know what ghost writing is? I'm also not sure what adsence really is. I know it's a way to make more money on the side. That is all. I have now put in my ezine site if anyone wants to see my article. Is that wise? For now, I want to see where article writing will take me.. maybe learn to write an e-book in the future.

If you write articles and put them up on hubpages for instance you have an option of signing up for adsense and putting your unique code for all your pages in your settings, basically as people read your stuff you will get google adverts being shown to them by default and if they happen to click on one you also get a cut of the revenue.

Some google adverts are very high paying like ones for insurance or lawyers (upto $55/per click) but you need to be knowing what you are talking about in those fields really...

For the most part it is pennies, however sometimes you will end up with $2 per day for a week and over time it does build up, not sure what algorithm it uses but you might as well

    While SparHawke explained completely
what you can do with a WSO he ommitted to
tell you that it stands for- Warrior Special Offer...

When you join the War Room, you have the ability
to make those special offers for any type of service
    (Regarding IM of course.)

When you make an offer- Everyone will be able to
    see it...

I wasn't able to see the Ezine article in your signature,
The link is dead for me (odd...)
but judging from what everyone else is saying you are
    good...

You can make $2 to $6 per article, but the big money
for writers is in writing copy...

Since you are already good at writing► if you understand
the principles of Copywriting it'll be a Great Money But-

    - WARNING► Immersing yourself in Copywriting can kill
your romantic writing... It's up to you if you wanna go
for the BIG bucks and learn how to write copy-

    - Or remain faithful to Passionate Romantic Writing...

    Good Luck...

    Hi Cindy,

Welcome. I highly recommend starting some type of service business if you're new to IM. This offers you a steady income and the ability to test out your internet marketing ideas with less risk. There's a huge market for great writers out there!

Hi Cindy - I just looked at your articles on Ezine.

A word of warning. They all have affiliate links in your resource box - which is against the terms of service at Ezine. I'm not sure how you got them published - but if you don't want to get your account suspended you need to get a site of your own (a Blogspot blog will start you off for free) and put your affiliate links on there.

Cindy, first of all welcome to the Warrior forum and congratulations on taking action.

Now, If I read all the posts right, you said that you are interested in romance. If this is your passion, writing on the topic of romance, then we need to narrow it down a bit. Because romance is a board subject matter.

Forget about all this WSO, starting a service and all the other random things. That will only confuse you. Focus your time and energy, sense you said you like writing on the topic of romance. I highly recommend using article marketing and promoting affiliate products. Which just means you are promoting other peoples stuff, for a peace of the sale.

Stick to writing about romantic articles and promoting products as an affiliate. I think a good place to get a better understanding of the process is Travis Sagos "Bum Marketing" which can be found here:

    Article Marketing

The the two or three pages and it explains the process in very easy to read step-by-step process. The only thing I would add to it, is don't just promote Clickbank products, expand to Amazon and other affiliate networks. Also, when finding keywords I don't really like the way the method Travis explains, simply because it dosn't work.

Instead, use this method of finding good keywords to write articles about, here's the link to better keyword/article topic research:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ss-spying.html

Remember, the point in article marketing, is to get your articles ranked in the search engines, and then use that traffic to offer the affiliate products too them. Also, you could expand it to writing into other web propertys. I wish you well, and good luck.

    Hi Cindy,

I know Rosetrees is trying to be helpful, but you are not defying the terms of service at ezinearticles. You have a redirect from a top level domain that you own and that is standard bum marketing practice.

Here's what ezinearticles has to say from their TOS - article 9:

"You declare that you will not send in any articles with direct affiliate links in them. We reject articles with direct affiliate links. It is ok, however, forward/redirect to an affiliate link from the top-level of a domain name you own. For example, it is permissible to forward to an affiliate link from:

News & Ezine Strategies For Email Newsletter Publishers & Permission-Based Email Marketers

...but it would not be permissable to forward to an affiliate link from:

News & Ezine Strategies For Email Newsletter Publishers & Permission-Based Email Marketers
News & Ezine Strategies For Email Newsletter Publishers & Permission-Based Email Marketers
News & Ezine Strategies For Email Newsletter Publishers & Permission-Based Email Marketers

This is one of our many article quality standards."

With that said, yes you will want to do some lead capture things thru your own site so you can market to this niche later.. I will work with you through pm/email to help you get a squeeze page set.

Regarding wso's - your ability to write research topics and write unique articles will go a long way on this forum. My recommendation is the following:

    1. Keep honing your skills in article writing and ezinearticles practice - when/if you write for others you will be an expert on getting things approved in ezinearticles which is a HUGE unique selling proposition to hire you to write articles.

    2. Look for another love letter product to sell with a webpage that doesn't have that leak. That is not a very good page to convert to sales in my book

    3. Keep writing articles, keep submitting them

    4. Let's work to get you a squeeze page to capture leads so you can market for free to this niche in the future.

    5. Don't try to do to much to quick... stay the course, don't be overwhelmed, and take babysteps to learn the next step in improving your work flow. The "kaizen" principle to tweak your model until every touch point is perfected and working. Expand with strategy, and DON'T go chasing everything at once.

The action you are taking is far more than those forum lurkers who never try to walk it out... keep the faith and let's work to improve your article marketing methods.

Great on ya for for your action and desire to learn!

    Best,

    Will

      Here's my formula:

      - set up a blog and post lots of content, every day if possible, multiple times per day is even better
      - do keyword research to find out what phrases are most competitive for your niche
      - optimize every page for search engine optimization, if you are using Wordpress there are lots of plugins that do this for you
      - study you competition, find out why they rank better and emulate what they are doing
      - wash, rinse and repeat over and over again

It takes time and effort but this proven process will work for any product in any niche.

My bad. Thanks for putting me right on that Irishman. I was actually thinking of the WF rules when I wrote that and didn't double check with EZA before writing.

Another idea you could do Cindy if you are able is to write short stories at a rate of 1-2 per week and put them on hubpages, then submit them to various bookmarking sites (get someone to help you with this as I have never figured it out) and tell all your friends where they are, all your enemies where they are, anyone you pass randomly in the street where they are and keep it up at that rate.

If I know people at all I know that they are a sucker for regular updates, if you are writing these stories anyway this gives you a chance to build up a loyal fanbase and maybe get picked up by an international magazine or two.

There are of course many people doing this but at least here you will be able to ask where you can put them...some ideas to get a readersbase:

      Scribd
      Wattpad

Rosetrees - no problem - it can get confusing with all the TOS and changes to technology to keep up on things. For what it's worth, I agree with you, it's a good idea to control your own page though regardless so you're not "one-timing" traffic.

    Thanks,

There are SO MANY writing opportunities online (and offline). If you're good already, and you specialize in romance fiction, then you will find lots of high paying work for writing and submitting work for other websites and publishers.

I'd start there - write as a service first, and you can make money whilst building up your portfolio as a result.

Once your portfolio has some good examples of your work, you can then move onto building websites, networking and perhaps even teaching others what you do to make money as a writer.

The world is your oyster. Writing is a great way to start out making a good living online, before you proceed to the more "technical" stuff as it were.
