Awesome Squeeze Page...

This squeeze page almost got me to signup for a list about a topic I don't even care about! You should have seen the banner.

    It's got all the elements of a good optin page. The arrows and the optin call to action is also in view on open so it should work well.

    'Awesome'? IMO 'OK'. The text needs some work to maximise optins.

    I would have put this ... learn how you can acquire MILLIONS of dollars in property without EVER needing to qualify for a loan or making a down payment....

      Ok maybe not "awesome" but I think the concept of the image of the mysterious person in the video really got to me. To be honest, I didn't even read the bullets. I was like, "Who is this guy? What does he have to say?"

      Then I was like, "wow, why is this squeeze page doing this to me?"

    Didn't he make a fatal flaw... Is optin is below the fold, well it is at least for me. This seems like an average squeeze page to me.

    Not necessarily butters. The call to action of the form is visible upon opening the page.

    Also, there are optin pages that have insane optin rates that does not have the form above the fold. Take the old double your dating optin page. It was below the fold and boasted with some of the highest optin rates among optin pages.

    Well, since this is a complete knock off of the page I used last spring when I rolled out Product Launch Formula 2.2... and I basically knocked most of it off from Ryan Deiss (with his explicit permission.) I can tell you that it's probably converting very well.

    This guy even knocked off my graphics... which is pretty funny since I'm such a complete newb when it comes to graphics. I actually created those arrows below the video using a screen capture utility on my Mac.

    Butters... yes, it's average NOW. A year ago it was revolutionary in the IM space. And in non-IM markets I bet it's still pretty darn fresh. With decent quality traffic it should do around 35% conversion or maybe a bit better.

    I did a TON of testing of this page design... that's one of the nice things about a big JV-driven product launch - you get so much traffic that you can do a ton of testing.

    That copy on the right below the arrows that pushes the opt-in box below the fold is a mistake. I've tested copy in that spot, and it made no difference in conversion. Copy, no copy, long copy, short copy... just doesn't make an impact.

    The copy below the headline is too long... that copy also makes no real difference in opt-in rate, so having it run so long is a mistake in my opinion (and that's opinion backed up by a LOT of testing.)

    The main elements that make a difference on this page are the the headline and the image of the video.

      what is good opt-in rate during product launch? 20%? 40%?

    Yes the copy definately needs a lot of work.

    However, the video strategy is awesome and works very well on your curiosity.

    It depends.

    There are so many factors, including your overall strategy, your product launch goals, the offer on the squeeze page, the market, the traffic source, whether you're using a regular squeeze or reverse squeeze, video or no video, etc...

    But in my recent launches, I'm usually looking for 40%+, and sometimes have hit 50%+.

    It is a good template to start with, and the first thing I noticed was that it's obviously someone who has read Ryan Deiss & Perry Marshall's stuff - I think this is covered in the 13 sneacky email secrets?

    As Jeff has said the concept of showing the video but not playing it gave massive conversion when new, it certainly drove me mad as I was used to just taking the free content without sharing my e-mail.

    Couple this template with a strong lead magnet and you should get some great conversions.

    That is a very nice looking squeeze page. It also has convincing copy. Make your squeeze pages like that and you will be getting some good leads.
