Warriors, I Need Your Urgent Help!

Hello Warriors..

I am in a real nightmare

Because I am an idiot when it comes to coding and programming, and because I take things by default, I always thought about the studiopress themes to be cute and great..until today!

I was on a very trusted community site and I came across a scary thread, where the issue of wordpress themes and SEO was discussed,
to my very bad surprise, studio press themes were mentioned as being highly unfriendly to SEO, even there were warnings that they may destroy all my SEO because of bad coding..

I have no idea about this issue, and even when I installed the Firefox web developer plugin,I didn't understand the report I got..

Now, I need your help

How to confirm that my site is fine ? and how to solve this possible disaster?
I am just starting on this site and I had spent quite a few hundreds of dollars on it, but now I am worried that all these effort got wasted by a stupid theme.

Any suggestions?
I thought about browsing the warriors for hire section and hire someone from there to check the codes, but because I don't know anything about the issue, and well never be able to decide if the person I hired has fixed things correctly or not, I preferred to check with you first..

Do you have any trusted names in mind?

As I said, the disaster isn't confirmed to happen yet, maybe the site is doing well, it's already indexed by google, but has no ranking what so ever for any keyword yet, and because it's fairly new, I can't tell if the theme has a bad effect or not on its SEO.

Thanks in advance for help

A Bary

That's a surprise, I can't imagine the themes are that bad that they would destroy your seo!

Would you mind sharing the link to people talking about this? Feel free to pm me if you'd rather not post it on here. You've got me curious!

Unfortunately it's a closed PAID community, so I can't give you access to the discussion, however, they are highly trusted SEO experts and I know they are talking from real experience...

The problem mentioned is about the "coding" of the themes, and the issue is some themes (including those from studiopress) are badly coded and cause SEO problems.

For a technically " ignorant" like me, it's impossible to differentiate a bad code from a good one.. that is why I am looking for help

I've used the LifeStyle theme from them on several of my blogs, but I do admit I've changed the code quite a bit. And yes, it's for SEO purposes.

I don't like the way the homepage is set up for SEO, and I am very big on on-page SEO. So, while I hesitate to agree that their themes would totally destroy your SEO, I can see some room for improvement, at least with the theme I use.

As to how you could assess your blogs, I've stumbled across a tool in the past but never used it.

You might give this a try. DomainTools.

Is is possible to hire one the SEO experts from the forum where you read about this? Or at least ask them to list the specific problems, and perhaps how to resolve the SEO issues? At least if you have a list of specific issues, it will be much easier to get them fixed.

Also, are you sure the 'experts' aren't trashing their competition? (It happens in the business world all the time!)

What about checking in with the Studio Press forums and asking for help there?

Revolution re-branded themselves as StudioPress around May of 1999. Early themes had some SEO issues, but everything I've heard of the ones released from 1999 forward certainly haven't been labeled SEO killers, that's for sure.

You need to keep your alert level high in any forum, even this one, because there are people who will secretly band together to trash one product while extolling the virtues of another. If you could "follow the money", you'd know why
