Whats the deal with facebook aps and can I promote them?

Snooping around on FB and noticed an ad for Zoosk. I did not know what it was so I clicked on it and it's an application.

How is this monitized and is it lucrative?

Anyone have the scoop or just some more info?

    Social media is where it is at in 2010 ... I am currently working on 2 game apps and one of them is going to be like nothing anyone has ever seen in marketing.

    Usage of the social media with marketing will have new meaning ..lol

    I have 3 apps up now and will be putting up a forth one this week sometime I hope..

    You can make money from them if this is your plan by using places like cpaleads.com (want an affiliate link ask ..lol).. There are many that have apps and many that are making a good income on those apps alone.

        You build an app that has some kind of play money, coins and etc that members will use to get special weapons and etc in the app. They can do cpa offers to earn this play money instead of paying out right.

        You as the app owner get paid for the cpa offers that are done... Have a popular game with 20,000+ members you can bet ya you will generate thousands every month and all pretty much on auto pilot...

            @Kitty - Yes there are many that are making a nice income. Many of these CPA leads pay $1 per person that fills them out and also many pay for play money in the games. Take 20,000 or 30,000 members that play your game and it only takes a small % to generate $1,000 a day ...

    Just getting into FB and dealing with their 'ad nazzi's' I thought they frowned on downloads...

    any helpful,cool or game type application that has viral concepts within it will make some big bucks on facebook. 2009 was just breaking the ice of web 2.0 I expect to see all new levels of it here in 2010

      Exactly Sean .. Its coming too ... But there will be a big twist because you need to build internet marketing into the app so they work together..
