In my opinion, based on experiences I have faced, I think that these the Top 10 free video submission sites:

1. Vimeo ( great for wordpress users!)
2. Youtube
3. Revver
4. Blip.tv
5. Google Video
6. Myspace
7. Yahoo Video
8. VideoEgg
9. VSocial beta
10. Eyespot beta

For a FREE video submission software check out: videolauch DOT net
It organizes about 20 quality sites to help you submit your videos.
It's not fully-automatic but once set-up is complete it's pretty easy and I launched my video successfully to 20 sites.

The BEST submissions are the ones you do by hand! Auto-submission software is a short cut and leads to errors.

Give VideoLaunch.net a try if you are not opposed to a little work and want the best success sending your videos to a host of video sites. Good video web marketing requires videos to be tagged and optimized according to the the specific hosting site's recommendations. If you want full automation there are options out there, but you'll pay a pretty penny and you'll be unhappy with the amount of errors your videos will get.

This is the second thread which mentions videolaunch today. Some marketing going on? Surely not!

Anyway...it's either dead or not yet properly born as when I tried to register, I just got error pages when trying to confirm my e-mail. So, save your time.

Depending on the video content I would submit it everywhere that would accept it. Some niches might work better on certain smaller sites, but with videos any views can help. Also, some video sites will allow you to include a link to your website.

Do you guys build links to your videos to get more traffic to them? I'm sure it isn't difficult to get a youtube video ranking well on google.

The videolaunch.net site is still in a test state but it does work.
We realize there is an error that happens to some users and the webtechs are working on it.

To successfully submit videos to the 20 best video hosting sites it should be done manually and this site is a platform to organize and assist that process. I've been a long time subscriber to Traffic Geyser, SENuke, TubeMogul, and I've purchased software like Videobot and my conclusion is always the same: if you want it done right it needs to be done by hand.

I appreciate you trying the site, but just wanted to send you a note that we are working out the bugs, it's a free site that actually works.

I headed back over and found that my account was live.

Now the problem is that I have no clue as to how to use the site/service. There seems to be no clear step by step method and absolutely no instructions.

I have created a project, entered the details of the video, entered all of my username/passwords for the video sites to be posted to but can find nowhere to add the actual video to upload to these sites !!!

It all looks swish but seems completely useless at the moment.

Any pointers?

As far as i am concerned videolaunch.net works rather well.
Considering that other providers are charging up to 100$ a month for pretty much the same service, what you get with video launch is a bargain.
It does take a little time to set-up, but once you are done, you will be able to submit video to multiple sites for FREE.
I would recommend to use this service as soon a possible for as long as you can as i have the impression that the free version will not last long.

Go to Pixelpipe.... it's free and its awesome. You will have to create accounts at sites such as Metacafe and Kewego but it is well worth it because you can then distribute your videos to all these sites at the press of a button.

Tube mogul has a tendency to ban accounts (and they will) if you're using them for any type of marketing

Pixelpipe is great in the fact that they have software that works with their free site which allows you to upload videos to several sites without even logging into Pixelpipe, of course with any service it has a limited amount of video sites that successfully work with it

My own experience tells me not to settle for a cheap options when it comes to video submission software.

Buy cheap buy twice, i bought two piece of software for less than 30$ and guess what? both of them were absolutely useless.

Go for a well established service where you pay monthly, you will not regret it.

I use pixelpipe for quick uploading. Had a couple accounts created through fiverr so that addressed the time issue. Do they all make it through? Not usually but the the ones that usually rank fastest - YouTube, Metacafe, Kewego always work for my pixelpipe submissions. It's fast, free and easy.

If I'm doing client work, I use Magic Submitter because I can use spyntax for title, descriptions, keywords, etc.

As a lot of people mention, I would say that PixelPipe is the way to go. It does however take time to setup all the accounts associated with it.

When I had to set this up, I used a guy on fiverr.com that setup ALL accounts associated in PixelPipe for 4x$5 (an absolut steal).

I'm in no way affiliated with the guy, he just did an excellent job
