How do I add special effects to videos?

I have Sony Vegas Pro 9.0c if that helps.

I have a vision of creating a few viral videos and having a great product launch. :p

    You can create videos with super effects, but you cannot really create a viral video. That happens in the hands of others once your video is complete.

    I would not really get too hung up on effects anyhow, because that is NOT one of the factors that is required to make a video popular. It usually only makes the creator of the video feel good about his work.

    A viral video has ONLY one thing about it that makes it viral > the burning desire to pass it along to someone else. You can post it to as many video sites and social pages as you like, but if it doesn't have that, it's not going to get viral traffic.

    That desire could be based in humor, controversy, drama, sex, grossness, etc., but basically something that provided true value in more than likely, an entertaining delivery.

    When your video is done, watch it entirely and then honestly ask yourself, "Would I pass this along to someone if I was watching it for the first time?"
