Newbie Needs help - Niches to Research steps...

The story with me is I'm doing a lot of reading and trying to figure out which niche to go for.

At the moment I've been thinking about blackheads. Is this a good idea?
So what would be the steps to find niches that might be money making websites.

Certain steps to take and I do know how to create websites or just basic ones. It would be great to get some sort of blue print for a newbie starting out. From niches - research - traffic...

Thanks Again.

Eric

Never say never, but in my opinion the acne/blackhead market as you mention is very much so saturated with IM'ers tryng to make a quick buck!

Without giving too much away try and find a niche that can be easily targeted but only gently growing, (in the hope/expectation that this niche will explode) - this is where i have made most money in marketing to niches, and it reqs much research and though.

@mine178: of course there are many people looking for a solution to this problem nowadays(there always have been even before the internet was born) but as I will reiterate - this market is totally saturated, the OP is better off targeting a more specific niche and not this cut throat niche, especially if he is new to IM.

A simple way to tell if its a profitable is just to search for it on Google. If you see a lot of adwords ads for it, then chances are its a niche that converts well, otherwise, most likely, people wouldn't pay for traffic.

You can also check Google adwords keyword tool, type in your keyword. Show estimated Avg CPC, and take a look at what people are paying for, for those keywords.

Another way is to just go to Clickbank. Check their marketplace for the product. If there are a lot of different products for that niche, than chances are, it's pretty good. Also check the gravity rate. The higher the gravity. The more affiliates are promoting it.

It will mean you'll have more competition, but at least you'll know it's a good converting niche.

You can find a niche by simply reading these forum posts and see what people have to say about other products. The more specific you make your niche, the easier it will be to market your product effectively. Another great way to find a niche is by reading survey results. Good luck!
