Is there anyway to get a paypal without a bank account? I belong to clickbank, but I also want a paypal.

Thanks

You can get a personal account with just a credit card, but I am pretty sure a bank account is necessary for everything else/receiving money for sales.

May want to check their site.

    Thanks,

Unless something has changed, you can get a PayPal account without putting a bank account or a credit card. However, you will have a pretty low limit on your account if you do that plus that is how PayPal verifies your account. Some programs will not pay out to a non-verified account.

In the USA you need to have either a bank account or a valid credit card to be verified. I'm not sure how to do it with a credit card only, I verified mine with my bank account. I've been doing some buying and selling online recently and figured that its worth linking to my checking account. A verified PayPal is very important for online business.

I use xoom.com, is a service like western union, you can send money to any person, the good thing is that you can do it online and pay by paypal, so, you just send the money to yourself or a friend, simple.

if you do NOT get verified? there is a spending limit, and when you reach it you HAVE to get verified before you can continue on with the account.

not sure about using a credit card for verification, but they call it "Expanded Use Process" (sounds serious)

only ever used the bank method, the other is really for non-us accounts.

with the bank method - they (PayPal) deposits 2 small amounts...like .04, and .13, and then you log in and enter the amounts to prove that you have access to the account. I would guess that the 'Expanded Use..." would be similar.

all the 'business' level does is let you add your business name and (most important) allow you to take payments...so if you want to run any site that takes payments? you must get a 'business' PayPal account.

you can change the business name, so if you have to change it later it is not a problem. I did it after I went from a DBA name to the name of my LLC with no issues. I did have to verify the new checking account, but otherwise it was a no issue conversion.

hope that is of some help,

You can get a paypal account without a bank account and then in order to get your money out of paypal I recommend Accountnow.com.

My friend had this same problem a year ago. We got Account now and that same day he was able to transfer his money out of paypal. (They give you a routing number and account number that works just like a checking account)

Be aware that accountnow has some pretty hefty ATM fees as well as a recurring monthly fee, but it's definitely something you can use if you really don't want to get a regular bank account.

    Hi,

Go to any RiteAid drug store and get a GreenDot Debit Card. If you don't have RiteAid Drug Stores in your area go to www.GreenDotOnline.com and find a location in your area. There is your "Credit Card" instantly. Now go to Peoples Bank in Paris texas (online) Google it. Open an account. No monthly charges and you get real checks and a bank card. The only requirement they need for you to open an account is the money to deposit and the usual IDs faxed to them.

Paypal will verify you for a premium account with the two things above. The whole process takes about 3 or four days. (because the bank account takes that long to set up.)

George Wright, P.S. Start the PayPal account right away they will wait for the bank account and you can put the CC on NOW. First you will have a temporary CC number and then you will get your permanent one in the mail. All you do is add the permanent one and remove the Temp One. It's VERY EZ. This is for real. I helped a guy set up a verified PayPal account at 3 AM one morning. (we have 24 hour RiteAids here)

As suggested above AccountNow is good but I think they have a monthly service charge that Peoples bank does not have.

I browsed through the site, and I think there are also card loading and PIN fees involved, they're stating something about an average $7.50 monthly usage cost for their prepaid card.

      Glad to help.

By the way. If you get the GreenDot Student Card you get 2 cards in the mail. One for you and one for someone else. They don't care if it's really not a student.

George, so I take it the Greendot card is for quick verification but ultimately Cindy wants to use the Peoples' bank card for her regular spending, right?

You can upload money from paypal to Peoples Bank yes, GreenDot is for ID and verification. Also you can reload it anytime you want to and it provides backup funding for your PayPal Account. However, cut out the middle man all together and get a paypal debit. You can spend your PayPal money as fast as it comes in.

George, I do have a PayPal debit card and I think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread! lol...I do keep it locked away in a safe place, because I'm a little afraid I might go through my entire paypal balance if it's too easily accessible to me! They've just made it too darn easy to spend your balance with the card.

I had a nice experience with my PayPal debit card. I told it before but it seems to fit here.

Tammy (my daughter and WrightAgain on the WF) went to Peru, Chili, Argentina and Uruguay a couple of months ago.

At the Hilton hotel first thing in Peru she inserted her CC in the ATM to check her balance. Well, being in South America for the first time she was looking all around and got distracted and forgot about her card just for a minute but that was long enough for the ATM to "eat" the card and she was told by Hilton Management there is NO WAY to get it back once the ATM eats it.

There is Tammy out of the country and no CC.

WAIT! I slipped her my paypal debit before she left. She didn't want it but I "made" her take it. Long story short I'm hustling IM sales and doing everything else I can to keep a balance in paypal for the duration of her trip. PayPal to the rescue. The only problem was when people said "Thank you George" and she had to smile and just be George. LOL

Great story, George. It is a great back up source of funds, and I'd like to share something here too. A quick and easy way to get cash out of your PayPal debit card is to go to WalMart (or any of the bigger grocery/super stores with the POS terminals), buy something cheap, and request $100 cash back from the terminal. If you do it this way, the cash withdrawal will be treated as a "purchase", and you won't have to pay any ATM fees. I read somewhere that more than 80% of Americans are within 10-20 miles of a WalMart, so your nearest Walmart/ATM machine can't really be that far away...lol!

sbuccariel, why take such a convoluted route when you can just use a PayPal debit card that basically works the same as your current set up?

I am skittish enough about Paypal with all it's quirks and ability to freeze accounts at a moment's notice for little reason while it's "investigating". I prefer not to have a Paypal debit card. I want my bank account and card not associated with the Paypal brand at all. Simple lack of complete trust in Paypal, that's all.

wow, okay.. So I tried for the paypal cc and they wouldn't give it to me. I have been out of work for 2 years with a disability and truly not a penny to my name. Which is why I've started IMing and why I do not have a bank account. So, that being said, my best option is still the greendot card, correct?

Thanks for everyone's advice it's good to know all the options out there!

This company says no turndowns and paypal accepts it as your bank account, so you just withdraw your paypal funds to the account. Reloadable Prepaid Debit Card | Sign Up for Your Account Today - READYdebit Prepaid Visa Card. Has worked great for me and acts as a bank account and a debit card.

Not the paypal credit card the paypal debit card. You can't get the debit card until you have a bank account and a CC. (GREENDOT)

This is getting too complicated. 1. Set up Paypal, 2. Get GreenDot, 3. Get an account with Peoples Bank. Verify your Paypal account with your GreenDot while you wait a few days for your bank account. It's really that easy. After the mandatory waiting period apply for Your Paypal debit card. You're in business.

I just called Peoples bank. The first deposit has to be $30. There is no monthly fee and it takes 2-5 working days to get the account.

        Hi,

If money is really tight, here is a little trick.

Get the Green Dot Card. Add it to paypal and verify your account with it.

Now, go back to Rite Aid and get cash back in the amount of your original cash load ($20). Put another $10 with that $20 and mail that to Peoples Bank. Once the PayPal account is attached to your Bank Account you can now use your $30.

I know a lady who did this and both her GreenDot card and her bank account have been empty for a couple of years, in fact the Bank Account is Closed. Never a peep from PayPal and she takes in about $1,500 a month and uses her PayPal Debit card for "cash" purchases and ATM withdrawals. Of course if PayPal ever demanded to see another bank account attached she now has one to use.

Here is another little trick if you are in a big hurry and don't mind paying a few extra dollars. AccountNow mentioned in another post is instant. You can verify it to your PayPal account right now when you apply. Then they let you send their fees via paypal. (This statement about AccountNow was true 3 years ago, I'm assuming they haven't changed their policy.)

The thing that is going to grease the cogs of this "machine" is to have some cash flow coming in via your PayPal Account. It doesn't have to be much, $20 a week will work and you should be able to make that and more writing articles for Warriors.

You just want to at least be able to keep up with the small expenses that occur for all of this. GreenDot does charge $5 a month to "maintain" and it's nice to be able to cover this. However it's not mandatory. In reality you can cut up the card when you are finished, and never look back. However, it is nice to keep it as a resource.

Peoples Bank has no fees, but, they take up to a week to set up.

Account now is instant, but, they are going to cost you around $30 + $10 a month. As with Greendot, you can just close out AccountNow once you are verified and fall back on Peoples Bank. (Assuming you are in a hurry.)(Again, this statement about AccountNow was true 3 years ago, I'm assuming they haven't changed their policy.)

Even if everything in this thread didn't work (it does work) the key is to know in your heart, where there is a will there is a way. Start moving forward and you will ALWAYS find a way. Your first move forward was to start this thread.

        George Wright
