I'm creating my first product - PLEASE HELP !

Hi warriors,
well I've been around here for a while struggling and fighting to earn some money with affiliate promotions but it doesn't work that well for me..
So I have decided to try it with my own product which I intend to sell through Clickbank.
I am familiar with the basics of the process, and I am also willing to invest some money in developing it, hoping that it will pay back soon. But there are some things I don't know and I would appreciate your help.

I took a PLR product from the health niche, and I have 50 related articles.
Since I am not that good in English (it is not my native language) and I hate writing I have posted a job at Elance.com for somebody to rewrite the book and incorporate the articles to create more valuable content. Bids are rolling in, but my first question is:

How much should I pay for rewriting a 30 page e-book and insert content from 50 articles, check grammar and spelling and format the tekst?

When the product is finished I will hire somebody to make the web site - a mini page with graphics and a few e-book covers..

Where can I get professional website design for such a product including graphics and banners - for a reasonable price ?

Who can write a high converting sales page, and how much should I expect to pay for that ?

I am thinking of not just submitting the product to clickbank and wait for sales and affiliates.. I would like to announce the launch and have a prelaunch period to create a little buzz about the new product, but I don't know how and where to do it.. we all know about the prelaunch of IM products through jvnotifypro...but..

Are there any sites for announcing a product launch in advance, for example the health niche ?

How can I get affiliates for promoting my product?

If the product price is around 35$ what should be the commission?

Can I sell it also through Paydot.com if I sell it through Clickbank?

I wil probably have some more questions, any of your help and advice is highly appreciated.
Thanx

I'll try to answer a few of your questions best that I can:

How much should I pay for rewriting a 30 page e-book and insert content from 50 articles, check grammar and spelling and format the tekst?

I would expect to pay $100 to 300 depending on how "unique" you want it made and how much content you want added.

Where can I get professional website design for such a product including graphics and banners - for a reasonable price ?

    freelancer.com, craigslist, getacoder.com
Who can write a high converting sales page, and how much should I expect to pay for that ?

    again, freelancer.com. $40 or so

Are there any sites for announcing a product launch in advance, for example the health niche ?

    Look into PRs

How can I get affiliates for promoting my product?

    1. Have a great product. 2. Get reviews for the product 3. Use clickbank and market to user on there

If the product price is around 35$ what should be the commission?

On clickbank, expect to pay 60-75% if you want a good attraction to affiliates.

Can I sell it also through Paydot.com if I sell it through Clickbank?

clickbank has more users I believe, so more people to market your product.

    Hope this help!

The higher the commission you offer the more affiliates you'll attract. At Clickbank it would have to be at least 50% to attract most affiliates.

I'm see no reason why you couldn't.

...You will need a minisite with a professional header, background image, ebook cover, footer and possibly a buy it now button. You can use the lance sites to outsource this to an agent.

Who can write a high converting sales page, and how much should I expect to pay for that ?

...If you are strapped for cash, then try to find someone that has decent skills and buck up the amount they ask. Those types of sites (lance sites) have people that write salesletters for 1-5 hundred bucks. Look at their feedbacks and go with the one that you like best.

Professional copy costs lots of money, elance is the only choice you have if you are strapped for cash.

I am thinking of not just submitting the product to clickbank and wait for sales and affiliates.. How can I get affiliates for promoting my product?

....If you have your product listed in the clickbank marketplace, then affiliates can find you. You will also need, to go to the top affiliate forums like #1 Affiliate Marketing Forum :: ABestWeb and start recruiting there.

Our fellow warrior Harvey Segal has a sweet site dedicated to clickbank and it has tons of affiliates in there as well.

If the product price is around 35$ what should be the commission?

...Offer at least 60-75% commission, being cheap gets you not many affiliates.

Can I sell it also through Paydot.com if I sell it through Clickbank?

...I'm sure you can sell on both ( not sure 100%)

I wil probably have some more questions, any of your help and advice is highly appreciated.
    Thanx
    ....You are welcome!

I would go against the prevailing wisdom and start out at a 25% commission. If you use Clickbank, you'll get affiliates for just having a product there. So, don't give away the farm yet.

Start at 25% commission and don't worry about affiliates to start. The reason is that, on a new product, there isn't going to be a measurable difference in terms of quality between the 25% affiliates and the 75% affiliates. There will be a difference in quantity, but not quality.

Instead, focus on your sales page, whether you do it yourself and tweak it or have a pro do it for you. Then, get some traffic and tweak (or have the page tweaked by your pro) as needed until it has a good conversion rate and you have a reasonable number of sales under your belt.

Then, go after affiliates. It is at that point that you can start moving the commission rate up higher in order to attract and acquire higher quality affiliates. For the most part, the big affiliates--the ones you really want and need to get--aren't going to promote your product until it has a track record.

      Thanks.
Today I've hired a professional writer on elance to rewrite the PLR e-book and insert 50 articles to the content. The final book should have around 80 pages. This will cost 300 $.

The next is the mini site design...
      And the product name

When everything is ready I will summarize my expenses (just for this product) to see what is the cost of a first - time launch and will I earn enough by selling the book to cover the expenses (since I am an inexperienced newbie and this is my first time )

It works. There are many proofs for that. But not for me. I've decided to take another approach and to just stick to it. And this is using PLR products, rewriting, adding more value and uniqueness and try to sell them through clickbank. And this is now my first attempt ever to do it.

If I fail with my first product, I will go one with another. That's it. No more walking around

I need suggestions for my products name.
It is an e book about yeast infections and natural ways for curing them as well as a guide for a healthy diet to improve the overall health condition and natural balance.

I need a catchy title, somehow different then most related products, and some of my thinking was:

            Yeast Infection Insider
            Goodbye Yeast Infections!
            Yeast Infection Wizard
            Yeast Infections Exposed
            Candida Exposed
            Yeasts Revealed
            Truth About Yeast Infections
            Living Without Yeast Infections

            Deadly Yeasts Termination
            Candida Eraser

What do you think about these product names? Am I on the right track? Any suggestions? If you had an infection problem, and would like to improve your health which title would be most appealing to you?

My company had a very positive experience with 99designs.com so you might also try with that. It's a specialized crowdsourcing for design.

I'm just starting and going through the same thing as you right now. (For some reason, my thread was pulled.)

I'm going to do a pre-sales test before going over to ClickBank. That is, I have my landing page built and I'll drive traffic to it with AdWords. If someone clicks the Buy link, I'll just tell them it is undergoing a rewrite and ask for an email address. I'll count each email address as a "sale".

This way, I can tweak everything then go live once I think the major kinks have been worked out.

I'm working on some new things. So, nothing to promote just yet.

Do not go cheap on your copywriting or site design.

      Site Design:

      minisitefrog.com

      Copy Writing:

      plaintalkcopywriting.com

These are the BEST bang for you buck. Trust DO NOT spend 40 dollars for sales copy. You would be better writing it yourself.

        No suggestions about the title?

        I've narrowed the choice:

        Candida Exposed
        Yeast Infections Exposed

I think the word "exposed" makes the reader interested and asking himself: "What exposed secrets am I going to discover..? "

        And one more question:
Should the domain name be exactly as the product name?
Does it matter if it is a .com, .org or .net domain?
